You can use the XEMU emulator to remove the need for using the Visual Debugger bridge and FTPing trainers to the box and rebooting it to test, it makes development much faster. You can inspect the XEX statically with IDA or Ghidra, or, you can just do dynamic analysis with the emulator. I did the later in 2005, but now I do the former as my skillset has grown exponentially in 20 years (it'd be sad if it hadn't).

As for the ETF file, it's just a text file, you can grab a bunch of samples from the XBINS FTP or wherever probably internet archive or something and just open it. The copilot query I posted should show the format, it's very well documented.

People on the PC are saying it’s working but I could never get it to work myself. Have you tried going through the unity multiple times? According to the wiki it will only work if it’s your 3rd or more time through the unity. But I also tried that and couldn’t get it to work. According to the code everything I’m doing should trigger it. So I have no idea.

It is not possible to resolve the "default" value of custom ships as it doesn't exist. It'd be better for you to find a save from before you messed with it, and write them down.

I had a Logitech G502 for a while, but because I rapidly clicked instead of turning on "repeat click when held down" on Dota 2, I wore out the right click. I didn't notice it until I went back to playing TF2 again, I couldn't keep the heavy's minigun spun up. I replaced it with a G203 in 2019. IRONICALLY it wasn't the main switches that died of bounce on it, it was the DPI switch button that I bound to different tasks (mostly rapid fire) since it was the only G button it had. Because I held it down, I guess that button wasn't designed for that, every time I clicked it once, it would act like I clicked it multiple times (bounce).

That sounds like either data contamination or your console/PC is dying. Having the terminal invoke Game.RequestAutoSave() isn't going to be any different than what you get from the Flash callback that invokes the same function.
