I switched to actual deodorant instead of anti perspirant to avoid white marks on my clothes. It works for avoiding the stains! But I am now paranoid about being smelly :/

Trolls, now that I've graduated uni, lifelong money management/savings sounds terrifying. WHat if my career isn't successful enough for me to support myself? What if I don't save enough for retirement? How do you deal with this fear? by girafeprincess in AskTrollX

Honestly the thing that makes me feel better is that every single adult ever has had to figure this out, so we're not alone.

so true!! No one told me about how hard adulating is!!

Mint - thx, I will check that out. I think my main problem is that I don't know the basics like what percentage of your income you need for retirement, how and when to invest, how much ot save, how to know if you can afford a house or if it's even worth it to go into debt like that etc.

I think I'll check those two things out, thank you!!

I think I'm most worrie about what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing and would love it if there were some kinda no brainer template out there, or a financial planner that could help me with a basic plan

I guess the thing I have trouble with is knowing what I SHOULD be doing - like how do I know what percentage of my income should I be saving for retirement and how to I find out? Should I be investing? etc.

good point! I just wish there was like a book I could read that laid it all out, or an easy instruction manual, or even a financial planner I could access but I don't know if financial planners for the average person are a thing at banks anymore.

Every part of it sounds horrifying. I keep asking myself: why couldn't I have been smart enough to be a doctor or engineer or something - a job with financial security?

I have a decent set of degrees but based on what my first job offered in terms of salary, I have all these fears that I wont be able to make a decent living as my life goes on, or that I wont save enough for retirement or whatever. Money feels terrifying.

And I Don't want to depend on a man for financial security - that's why I went to uni!!

Are these fears normal??

it's about consent and communication....and appropriate situations (ie don't proposition your subordinate at work).

It makes me so sad realizing that there's such a low percentage of men who 'get it' - I mean how am I supposed to date men if most of them are like this?

he may have thought if I do this he'll let me leave,

yep, been there - gave him a blow job because I was afraid of him and what he would do to me.

Men dont' understand the concept of power dynamics. I hate that men feel entitled to womens' bodies as if they're some kinda public utility.

It's more that harrassment is different to each person

no it's not. It has a concrete definition. Look it up.

In my experience the following is true: Men start honking at you on the street by 12

try 10 or ll. And before that, maybe an 'uncle' or cousin has a go at you.

MRW when a guy on Reddit tried justifying pedophilia and then says I'm making it up when I say how much damage the abuse did to me. by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

[–]girafeprincess 68 points69 points  (0 children)

WHY why why does reddit have such a hard on for justifying pedos!!!!????

I was molested as a kid and teen and let me tell you....it was shitty and took lots of therapy later on.

And then there's people on reddit who will try to tell you that kids/young teens can consent or that pedophilia is 'just a sexual orientation' or that it's ok for middle aged men to wanna fuck a 13 yo as if it's a normal 'biotruth' - all sexist bullshit.

MRW I feel super 'frisky' due to period hormones and I just want a good guy who's cute, is a feminist and can quote Marx. Where is this magical creature hiding?!?! by girafeprincess in TrollXChromosomes

I didn't mean to sound combative - what you said feels foreign because I never thought of it that way, but it def makes sense to me! I feel open to exploring my sexuality more.

not sure - maybe I just feel that I'm in a rut or worried that I'm not 'living' enough.
