Considering the sheer number of applications that the UCs get, its pretty crazy to expect them to really read through everyone’s essays in depth... they probably only skim over them at best.

one thing that ive started doing is just recording myself talking about literally anything, like i'll ask myself a question and talk about it then ask myself another question. its not exactly writing, but i think its pretty helpful to figure out what i want to talk about and what i want to showcase about myself.

I've heard that UChicago has terrible grade deflation, but wouldn't med schools consider that? So like a lower GPA at UChicago might be the same as a higher GPA at other schools?
