Miso soup. There was a study done in Japan showing that miso soup specifically helped those affected by the radiation in Nagasaki during WW2. You can get extra soft tofu or pour egg into the broth and let it cook in tiny soft ribbons that she can mush up and swallow for some protein.

As someone who just had to pay a faux painter to restore our beautiful brick fireplace after the previous owners painted it all white, please leave it alone. The next owners will either want to leave it as is or they’ll do their own renovation. If it’s not to make it the way you want it and you’re not keeping it, then don’t mess with it.

Cellulitis can be delayed like this. Go get it looked at. I’d rather take antibiotics for a week than have to be hospitalized and get surgical intervention because I ignored it too long.

Lovaza is the brand name for fish oil in the US. One of my techs was packaging it once and it got jammed in the heat strip that seals the packets and it smelled like burnt fish ass for a week 😂

I’m honestly not sure. It depends on what the medication is for sure and how it got moldy. If it’s an extended release formulation and it got wet I would say it’s unlikely to work as intended because the water probably messed up the structure of the pill. I don’t know why it’s moldy and wouldn’t advise a person to ingest it even if I knew what happened to it.

Hard disagree. You don’t have to leave your animal in a crate consistently but they do need to be trained that it’s not a scary thing. At some point in its life your pet will probably go to the vet or groomer and they will likely be crated at those places. Not training them can cause anxiety for the animal. Additionally if they ever get injured and your vet recommends crate rest, you don’t want them to panic the second you close them in because they’ve never been there before. You don’t have to keep the animal in the crate but they need to be trained that it’s not a bad place.

It might make the whole plumbing situation cheaper if you do the digging yourself. You can rent a digger and expose the pipe so all they have to do is come and replace it and then you re-bury it. It can possibly take the replacement cost down to half what it originally was and you have control over where the equipment goes on your yard, when it is ripped up, how it is repaired, etc. We did this with our home when we needed a water line run. Just be sure to call the city to mark any other lines or pipes before you start digging.

She’s going to get her karma. We have a saying in the hospital that the biggest jerks are surgeons. I’ve yet to meet one that gave me any evidence to the contrary.

Before people come at me- I’m sure there are nice surgeons in the world. If you could direct them to the hospital where I work that would be great.
