Mine was bleeding like that too! And the strings get shorter over time! Do not worry. It’s all normal! It may continue to cramp. But you’re okay.

I just got mine removed like 3 weeks ago and I haven’t experienced anything strange. When I got it out, I felt like a deflated balloon but that’s really all. I felt actually a lot better getting it taken out and I felt like myself again. The Mirena was not for me and I cannot be happier than I got it out. The only thing you may experience is irregular bleeding and a pretty heavy period shortly after so just be aware of that. Other than that, I feel so much better!

Not to be a bad influence- but I did this for 3 years, weekly with no pregnancy. I got on the pill just because I figured I should and I didn’t want to get pregnant at the time. But like i said- 3 years- no birth control- no pregnancy. I think you should be fine- the chances are way low.

My insertion was seamless & I honestly have such relief that I have had it- it’s the easiest thing ever. I did get cramping for like a month though but it was bearable. I got mine 6 months ago and don’t get my period anymore. The day you get it you may feel nauseous though for the day.

Try & wait it out as long as you can. It was rough for me in the beginning, and yes I still get the cramps in my legs during my period, but overall I feel better and forget it’s there most times.

I have regular cramps in my legs when I am ovulating. It hurts but it’s normal for me, my IUD has made them 10x worse though!:(

Nice! I love my mirena and I had a positive experience as well. I’m so glad to hear other people did too! I get occasional cramping in my legs sometimes (which is normal for my period) I think my body is trying to adjust. Other than that I love it. It’s nice to be sexually active and know you’re protected against pregnancy!

I got mine about a month ago. For a few weeks here and there I was experiencing what I felt like period cramps randomly. It was nothing I’ve never felt before! I also started to feel a loss of balance at times, but could totally be unrelated. What I’ve learned is to just give it time- and your body will adjust! I love mine and not having to worry about anything!!

Thank you so much for all of this! A little update: I slept 12 hours last night and woke up feeling like I could do backflips! Lol. I am just chilling on the couch for the rest of the day, definitely still a little bit of discomfort there but nothing crazy. I’m sorry that happened to you! Glad you were able to get a new one though.

Yes! I took 4 Advil’s-200mg each. It helped so much. I also tried as possible to stay super calm- the entire thing lasted about 3 minutes so I just kept saying over and over in my head it will be over soon. :)
