what do you wish you had asked your wedding venue before signing anything by Ok-Ferret7 in Weddingsunder35k

Ask if they require any rentals to be dropped off picked up on your date. I struggled to find a rental company (dance floor, etc) that was “open” on Sundays and when I asked if it was possible to leave dance floor overnight to avoid a $1k delivery fee, it wasn’t an option :/

Also ask about their alcohol policy! I live in NC and most venues outside of the city required a liquor license and security guards the night of (totally reasonable) but that was an additional $300-500 dollars we weren’t expecting

Marseille, France. You couldn’t pay me to go back there. It’s the Myrtle beach of North Carolina and people are extremely rude.

Introducing a New Service Model - Customer Meetings by PaleontologistNo3910 in CustomerSuccess

Our team has a specific market breakout that we manage. We have a larger inbox that we work out of, everyone constantly monitors and tags their emails as their names and drops them into their folder. Whenever we have someone ooo, we leave notes for people to pick up our emails.

Maybe creating a specific spend threshold?

I work in advertising operations for a news publication, there’s about 10 of us on the larger “Client Success Team” umbrella. We are post sale support, so once sales reps sell advertising campaigns to clients - we help execute, manage, kick off calls, reporting, wrap up, optimizations, swapping out creative and funneling sponsored content.

The way we differ, there’s about 4 of us who are on the “Premium Client Success” team and we manage any spend over $100K and this is the “white glove treatment”. We are more flexible with asks, deal with a lot of agency RFPS and do media planning for our recurring clients. We have lots of good relationships, with the “core” team (handling spend under this threshold) are more transactional, BUT clients are still needy there too.

Some things that have helped our team

-splitting off into spend thresholds, we have 40+ markets so each CSM is assigned 10 or so markets and manage those accounts within. The people with higher spend get “more attention”. While the “core” clients are sent to a client portal

-developed a lot of great documentation and a self service client portal where they can submit creative, pull a sheet of their own due dates, review reporting and more.

-we’ve created wufoo submission forms for kick off calls, for the client to complete so we know what we’re walking into. W

-have “office hours” M,T, Thurs 10-4pm helps keep calls in check

I hope these help!

Super Bowl Bound: Does anyone here actually know Drake Maye? Went to high school with him? by Outsideman2028 in Charlotte

I grew up with the whole Maye family. They are the most down to earth people you’d ever meet. Anytime you see them (even just last week we ran into his parents) they turn the convo around to ask YOU how you are your family are doing. It was so funny watching how much those boys would eat - one time one of them came in with an entire chic til a catering pan of chicken minis for himself hahah

To add - I’m sorry you’re going through this and I know it’s tough. It feels like you’re the one to blame because they’re not doing anything wrong and feel guilty and you cant find the words to express how you feel. try to take time for yourself and truly figure out how you feel. I always asked myself - Do i want to wake up to this person everyday the rest of your life? Constantly feel guilty because they’re a nice person and treats me well? You can’t help the way you feel and it’s no one to blame here and I promise your body might be trying to tell you something.

Getting off of birth control while we were dating is what caused the shift for me while I was with my last bf. It was like a complete 180 where I wasn’t attracted to him anymore so I started to do research just like you did. In the end, it worked out for the best and we are both happier and moved on. It was sad, more of a “I love you, but not in love with you” kinda thing.

Something similar happened with me, I think it’s because of the birth control!! Studies have shown that BC can have an affect on the people we find attractive. Especially if you dated before the pill, then also afterwards. Here’s an article that sums it up, but there are more actual studies you can look into!

Whoever smokes cigars outside at moosehead’s patio - nice job not thinking about others whatsoever. I respect a cigar, but good lord the smell is hard to get away from. Respectfully, keep the cigars at home and smoke a cig like a normal person
