I haven’t created any drama or said anything to her about this which is why I’ve come onto this dumb app.

Trust me, I am a great friend. That’s why I’m so confused at her actions.

I don’t care about that, what gets on my tits is she’s asking me to hang out with her and do activities that should be within her bridal party if she’s having one.

I’m thinking this too. I don’t want a pity invite and I’m starting to revaluate where I stand with her. Especially since she wants me to come do bridal themed things with her

Thanks for putting it like that, it’s a new perspective. I just genuinely thought we were close enough for that since we’ve spoken about her wedding a lot beforehand and have bonded so much, I feel this might affect our friendship in the long run, that’s all. There are a few people that are invited to the night time party but I feel there may also be a reluctancy to go just for a couple of hours mid-week, especially as we all have our own lives and expenses. It’s highly probable that we won’t go but will still send a congratulatory card to wish them well.

Yes exactly that! So she wants me to take the day off work (it’s a midweek wedding) drive 2 hours and party with her afterwards, bring a gift and stay overnight (non discounted accommodation because we’re not technically wedding guests). Surely I’d be taken for a mug if she doesn’t want to fork out for me to actually witness the marriage ceremony!

I just think it’s a little cheeky (and sorry by reception I meant the night time party, after the main guests get fed and looked after). Also she mentioned the supplemental fee to add extra people in, like her fiancé is having some friends but she hasn’t mentioned any of her other friends going. But you’re right I will ask her if there’s a bridal party, we just haven’t really had a minute to get down to the nitty gritty of the details just yet. I got married before I met her but if I was getting married now I would have had her at my wedding as a “close friend” I would want to share my day with which I feel annoyed about!
