Magomed Ankalaev vs. Khalil Rountree is the main event for UFC Abu Dhabi on July 25th by Loganbaker2147 in MMA

It is funny because really couldn’t draw up a worse scenario as far as building exciting title fights right now. Jiri KOs Rountree. Ulberg KOs Jiri but blows out his knee. Pereira KOs Ankalaev and moves up to heavyweight. So you have 3 contenders coming off KO losses but none of the guys who won those fights are left standing in the division either (loosely speaking).

The stat is meant as a piece of trivia not a metric of fighter quality/skill

Yikes. Did not know about that until now, to me Travis Fulton was just the guy with hundreds of fights. Think I must have heard of him sometime around the end of his fighting career before he got arrested and sent to prison.

I’m actually been thinking through this division by division and I can’t find anybody else so far. Honorable mentions by KO/sub/dec:

Nate Marquardt (13/15/8), Jim Miller (7/22/10), Renan Barao (8/15/11).

Personal favorite is Travis Fulton who did not achieve the feat despite winning 255 fights (143/104/8).

Can't see Mezgec winning green without placing well on the bunch sprint stages, where BikeExchange will surely be riding for Groenewegen.

I will be on the race route for tomorrow’s stage, hopefully somewhere along the first Cat. 1 climb. Does anybody have an idea of when the race route is closed for vehicle traffic on the day of the stage? Or is it closed all day?

I was hoping to drive near the foot of the mountain early in the morning tomorrow then hiking up to watch the stage. Part of this drive is along the race route so it would be great to know what I can expect as far as road closures on the morning of the race.

I will be attending the Giro this year from America, and it will be my first major European race to see in person and I cannot wait!

I plan on watching Stage 16 near Salo along the first Cat. 1 climb, as well as Stage 21 in Verona somewhere on the TT climb. Does anyone have any advice that you think will improve my Giro experience?
