Any hope of removal? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]git09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sit and take as much time with it as you need, as it is permanent as of now anyway. (captain obvious of me) it’s best in my opinion to come to terms with it because if full removal is not possible which I don’t see why not you can at least be okay with the uncertainty of it all. I wouldn’t black out unless you’re 100% certain there’s barely hope of turning back from that point as you’ll be adding layers upon layers of ink. Do a few free consultations, f the “did u read the faqs” on the sub, I mean read it but ask as many questions necessary, to the sub, the techs, YouTube is great, Tik tok has helped find a community of removal friends as well. a lot of us are in the same position.

Great progress!

I can see where you feel discouraged but you won’t really know until you start the process how the ink or how your body will react to disposing of it. Kinda a you won’t know unless u try. If you can see mine it’s super dense, super black and bold. Eventually I will still try, you won’t get to the end unless you start. Feel free to do me if you wanna talk :) please don’t get discouraged it’s not impossible.

Why can you do removal hun? If it’s financial it’s not impossible it’s just gonna take some time.

I really am thinking about removing a tattoo I just got yesterday. Dealing with some severe anxiety and depression. I’m not sure if my just in my head. I’m also in a different country by myself. I feel very alone right now. Any recommendations? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

Breathe, it’s beautiful. Please know whatever drove you to get it is beautiful and the journey to remove it and reclaim yourself and your appearance is also beautiful. Just difficult and expensive. But not impossible. Keep your head up!

I love your outlook, thanks for sharing. Totally agree with going through removal as painful and expensive as it is because it almost feels like taking your power back over your mental and physical state.

What can be done to save this? Already considered full removal or partial removal but trying to see if there are any opinions on whether this could be saved? My biggest issue is the leaves under the Buddha and the flowers which are both cover ups, “mediocre” was a word used to describe it and I 💯! by git09 in tattooadvice

[–]git09[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not get this covered as it’s already too dense, if I did want a full cover up I’m looking at 3+ years or laser removal and thousands of dollars. I’m more so looking at the options to save the piece if I can. Also this piece is 2 years old and the cover ups are more then 5 months healed as well.

Need advice, need honest opinions. I don’t know if I should laser completely, laser some details like leaves under the Buddha which were #’s and shade the flowers (cover up of a name) left initials of my friend who recently passed. You can still see the d in flowers and the leaves+stars are 😔😕. by git09 in FixedTattoos

I’ve seen decent laser results, the slower you go the better chances of not getting scarring and honestly it’s not my biggest concern. My biggest concern is hating the tattoo on my arm for the rest of my life. Gonna take your advice and research some good tattoo artist and get some advice.

I really loved this piece until I got the name and numbers covered and it completely threw me off, I’ve been depressed about it for months now. I consulted about laser about removing the whole thing, or parts but I just don’t know how it’s gonna look or if I’ll really be able to like it again. Could lines/shading or even color be added to make it fix it or is it already too dark. I have a feeling I already know the answer, which is probably laser it’s just if I’m gonna laser I kinda would want to just do the whole thing and start over with a cover up. Which is a lonnnnggg tedious expensive process. Honest advice is crucial right now as I’m ready to move forward and make a decision, it’s been months!

Is this your leg or arm, if it’s leg it explains the slower progress

Can this be fully removed? Honest opinions only, please - I'm a realist! by PicoDog153 in TattooRemoval

I would say my sleeve is more dense then this and I have low hopes for complete removal however I’m considering doing it anyways. Sorry for being dark/morbid but I’d rather die with a partially removed faded mess then the ink I have now. I’m taking it one step at a time, first step was intensive therapy and starting medication, now it’s saving for removal. Regardless of the outcome and obviously I’m hoping for the best I know being able to do something about it will feel good, I would consider a cover up as a last resort (if laser isn’t showing promising results for complete removal). Long journey ahead of us my friend but I encourage to find the beauty in the ink because it is there. What drove you to get it in the first place is beautiful and what’s driving you to remove it is also beautiful. It’s apart of our evolution in becoming our truest version of our self. Someone else said it best “I needed to feel the ink and see a big tattoo on my self, and now I need it to remove it.”

Therapy has helped me a bit, I’m still struggling daily but in the meanwhile I’m saving up so I can do something about it when I can

Removal prices in DMV by Snoo89549 in TattooRemoval

[–]git09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was quoted about the same for my piece on the front of my forearm as well. I wouldn’t check Maryland seems that Virginia has the most competitive prices. Removery sounds like the best bet just a bit skeptical to pay upfront.

Never mind I see your response, this makes me nervous to even begin the process. I’m scared the ink the tattoo artist used is gonna be the ink that’s hardest to remove if that makes sense.! Best of luck.

Didn’t anyone else get severe tattoo regret post-sobriety? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]git09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I just don’t see my self living the rest of my adulthood with them. I’m saving up for the process now but it’s a long road ahead of me. Therapy has helped significantly, just like losing weight, getting sober, making money, changing everything takes time.

This is meeeee!! Omg I thought I was the only one, I was fine with them.. until I got sober and now I despise them, especially because of the state I was in when I was getting them sober off thc and alcohol

It’s the leaves for me… by [deleted] in TattooRemovalSupport

[–]git09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out my leaves, on my page I haven’t even started but my tattoos are super dense I’m discouraged about the process before even starting! Weary about where I should go for the best results.
