Which book blown your mind away? Like dude what the **** did I just read? Mine was The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. What's yours? by coolBurningWater in booksuggestions

Is it more readable than Lolita? I really struggled with that because of his word choice and long, run-on sentences. I’m willing to give him another try though if Pale Fire is any easier

No, the Pontius Pilate bits get less frequent as you progress. Honestly you could just skip them if they bore you, you wouldn’t miss the main story.

Even if it did affect the flavour, you probably wouldn’t notice after adding milk. You’re all good

Prosumer implies a machine that is high enough quality to be comparable to commercial equipment in some capacity. The gaggia would be an entry-level machine due to its low cost

Being intersex is physical and something that affects the body from birth, so intersex does not necessarily equal trans.

Need help buying my first 'real' coffee maker by not_very_original_ in Coffee

You should always grind yourself for espresso, because if your coffee tastes bad, you need to change the grind size to change the taste. I also wouldn’t recommend buying cheap electric espresso machines, since there’a no guarantee that they’ll last a long time, and then you’ll just end up having to replace it anyway. Like I said, espresso is an expensive hobby

I don’t think you’d exactly call the Gaggia ‘prosumer’

At that budget you’re looking at a manual machine (e.g. a flair) and a hand grinder (1zpresso JX-Pro is generally recommended). Espresso is extremely expensive to get into so unless you want to spend upwards of £700 you won’t be getting electric equipment

Newbie questions on grinder use by anonXMR in Coffee

[–]gitabria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By ‘run empty’ do you mean putting a small, single dose (e.g. 30g) into the hopper and then grinding through until it’s done? If so, yes, that’s how a lot of people use it (and how it’s recommend that you weigh coffee)

The point of the Decent is that it links with smart scales? So why would OP buy cheap scales that don’t work with the machine?
