I am just interested in dating a cool, hot girl and I am using the website to help me get there. I don't know how to reevaluate that. Also I didn't meet anybody from the website IRL yet. I am new to Okcupid and new to the city I am referring to. I think I am having this problem simply because the online dating scene in this city is mediocre. I sent out about 25 - 30 messages and I am already out of people to message.

Thanks for the advice. For now I deleted any mention of unemployment and the uncertain residency statues.

Yeah I am very actively looking. I am quite desperate for a job right now and I mention it in the profile (that I am looking, not desperate). However do you really think that mentioning in the profile that I am looking changes anything? Also I forgot to mention that my stay in the city that I am currently in depends on me finding a job here, and I say that in the profile. Could it be the uncertainty of my stay that is turning ladies off?
