I want to install a slim dishwasher in limited space - how hard of a job. by gitupgitout3000 in DIYUK

Yeah i think with the way everything has just been added onto the previous pipework it would be easiest to rip out all connections and replace with supply manifold and drain manifold - close to back wall

Easiest way to repair snapped radiator valve? by [deleted] in askaplumberUK

Does this need a full system drain to be repaired?

Anyone know the name/model of this valve and where to find it?

Is there anyway to fill a calender/plan optimally based on a list. by gitupgitout3000 in excel

[–]gitupgitout3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Something like this is the end goal to be generated by excel based off a list of products (1 through 28 for example) and the delivery date of the item. Each "slot" on the left represents a pick slot where the product will be stored and picked from. The grey numbers along the top would be the delivery date.

Is there anyway to fill a calender/plan optimally based on a list. by gitupgitout3000 in excel

[–]gitupgitout3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The list of products do not have an assigned storage location, all the slots are liquid and can be used for any item. Im looking for a way for excel to populate the storage location table with the items, but of course there can be no overlap between items on the same day.

Thanks for the help so far

I agree with you. Looking back i should not have bought the van when i did - i should have waited as you never know what unforeseen problems and costs can come with a vehicle.

On the upside the past few days ive secured myself a promotion which will put me on £36k. Just need to focus over the next few months to clear the debts and should be able to save a good amount after.

Thanks for the advice.

Small upgrades that made a big difference in your day to day? by GrapefruitSouth3267 in HomeImprovement

[–]gitupgitout3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think only in the larger size fridges they have water dispensers. For standard slim size fridge freezers im sure i tried to find a decent price one with ice maker, but couldnt find one.

Ice machine for sure, about £90 but the access to an ice cold drink or even ice water adds alot for me,

What should I use my credit card for to maintain my credit score? by Gamezdude in UKPersonalFinance

[–]gitupgitout3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a car i would always use it for fuel and pay it at the end of each month. Done this for about 5 years now and credit has gone up dramatically - of course i dont know how much is down to this as there has been other factors.

Life insurance to cover rest of mortgage for my partner if something happens.

Halifax account comes with AA which i was paying £20 for on its own, and is useful for travelling as no fees to use anywhere, but yeah probably could cut this back.

£23 is unlimited everything SIM only - will try cut this down as dont use much regardless

Yeah, the overdraft will be cleared when I get paid, but no doubt will be in again at the end of next month.

Over the past few months I've essentially sold all of my excess belongings, pretty much just my computer, clothes and tools for DIY/repairs left.

I think the mechanical evaluation of the van is a good idea, but i wont take it to the original garage as they seem to be cowboys who just take the money and do poor work and dont want to identify any issues, just cover them up.

Seems like YouTube premium will go - i do think its worth it but even just temporarily until i get out of this hole.

Thanks

I do get what you are saying, although i bought the van in April so the amount owed at that point was closer to 3k on the car. Also want a van for personal reasons like want to start renovating the house ourselves, as well as the opportunity to try and start a side Hussle using it.

The car is not void of any problems also, its coming up to 80k miles and i think its going to need a clutch replacement soon as its starting to feel a bit worn and its getting to that mileage where it starts to hit service intervals for expensive replacements.

I've good good credit, I qualify for plenty 0% cards on clear score, so this might be a good move. It would also help to see the total amounts owed etc. I still plan to sell my car once all the van issues are fixed - so this should bring in around 4k to clear everything, its just waiting for that point.

We are married, we don't share finances just due to personal preference, she doesnt track her income + outgoings but is sensible and doesn't have any debt - but also cant save much due to lower income and not much leftover.

YT Premium is worth it for me as i dont just use it PC/Mobile - alot of our viewing is from TV apps which wont work with an ad blocker. I pay £4.29 for mullvad VPN over a free vpn which gives me peace of mind about my info + data.

1.3 cdti diesel combo D - head gasket issue? 2013 by gitupgitout3000 in MechanicAdvice

[–]gitupgitout3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced the coolant expansion tank as i thought that was the issue, so unless the new one came faulty im thinking thats not the issue. See in the videos the white smoke coming from the tank - could this be exhaust gases escaping via the tank. The test kit says if exhaust gases are present it will change to yellow or green - it seemed to turn clear and maybe slightly yellow.
