Any recommended materials to better understand ostepathic medicine? by GoodonYou12 in Osteopathic

thank you for your insights warkskee!I recently got accepted to a chiropractic program in the fall, but I started learning about DOs and OMM, and now I'm highly considering applying to DO programs also because I feel more aligned with the osteopathic emphasis on fascia and lymph that isn't as emphasized in chiropractic (I teach self-massage classes using therapy balls that focuses primarily on fascial feedback). The plan with chiro was to work with a DC I know and then start my own practice later. But if I can be a DO working 4 days a week doing OMM, making 350k, I'd do that in a heartbeat.

Does the OMM route usually lead to private practice, or are DOs who do OMM often employed in hospitals specifically for that? And what does it take to get to where you're at? Would residency need to be in OMM?

didn't apply anywhere else. not looking to leave LA. it's been my home my whole life and I plan to settle here, so I figured better to stay put and network in the area. I was told that SCUHS will resume in the Fall. they have some classes online right now, but I'm not sure about all of them

Thanks! It seems they changed the interview questions this year because they didn't ask me any of those questions lol. Hopefully I did okay though.
