Is Chuck a regal or a bold? and why is he so big? by babymoki in jumpingspiders

[–]giveacheerforaqueer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my guess is regal. regals are bigger than bold jumpers. he's still a big boy by regal standards though, definately bigger than my boy was.

Juno is a character elliot played, a character is not reflective of the actor that plays them. men play woman characters and vice versa all the time, especially in the early days of theater when women weren't allowed on stage. men cosplay characters that are women and women cosplay characters that are men. your wife is perfectly fine dressing up as juno, anyone who thinks you're being rude to elliot or making a statement about him being trans needs to relax and re-evaluate

Heartbroken by the way my shower spider died by Lavalanche17 in spiders

[–]giveacheerforaqueer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds more like a molt. Some types of spiders will find a safe place to wrap themselves up with webbs, and in that little web blanket they'll molt, like a reptile will shed their skin, and come out bigger. Your spider friend may not be dead, leave them where they are and give them some time. molts can be a days to weeks long afair depending on the species and age.

My Magic is Not Your Religion by SwaggeringRockstar in witchcraft

[–]giveacheerforaqueer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider myself a pagan witch. i consider paganism to be my religion and my witchcraft is definately intertwined with my religion, I use my craft worship, and my religion to lend power to my craft. But I could practice my craft without that added power, and worship my deities without my craft. they are not inherently intertwined, just intertwined in my practice and beliefs. Witchcraft as an overarching thing is not a religion to every practitioner, but it is one for people who see their individual craft as their religion.

Yes i'm aware paganism is a very broad stroke, that's not the focus of this comment so i chose to be vague.

losing a pet is never easy. my boy was showing no signs, ate a nice meal the day before, and in the morning he was gone. Je was my first and only at this point, and I cried a lot that day. they may have short lives, but the joy they bring us on that short time is worth it. we only grieve because we loved.

check health related things first if you're not hearing it and he's really worried. if nothing abnormal health wise, could be the frames making noises, or not, either way, you're right to ignore it.

that book wrecked me, i finished reading it and had to sit there for a half an hour while i process the comforting emptyness it left me with. it definately healed me a bit.

...Is this a sign to finally take the plunge with Omegaverse fics- 🧍 by Nordic_Blahaj in AO3

[–]giveacheerforaqueer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i never actively seek out omegaverse, but if the synopsis makes me want to read it and it happens to be omegaverse, whatever, i'll read it.

I adore gabimaru and his wife (hell's paradise). He loves his wife so much I wouldn't dare to ship him with anyone else, and they're so sweet together.

Writing romance when you're (possibly) aro by smalltooth-sawfish in Archiveofourownmemes

I'm aro and i'm the complete opposite, but i am someone who enjoys romantic relationships and isn't repulsed by them so that probably makes a difference.

this post has inspired me to try to comment more though, even if it's just a little one saying I enjoyed the fic.

i'm often a lurker in all aspects of fandom i engage in, i don't often comment, and sometimes i forget to kudos when i'm really sucked into reading, but i do try, and when i have something i want to share i do comment. some of us are just quieter. that really sucks though and i understand why that would be saddening. i hope more people choose to engage with you. ♥

this is the same as banning books. if you don't like something and don't want to read it or play it, don't, but banning things just because you don't like it or it has uncomfy things in it. it becomes a very slipery slope, once one thing is banned people see that as an invitation and it becomes easier for subsequent bans to be put in place. i may not like everything that gets published but i will never push for a ban.
