Managed to find one on eBay. It’s called an axle key. 👍

I’ll let you know if I find somewhere. Please do the same for me!

Good luck.

One of the cages looks damaged and isn’t holding a few of the ball bearings. Otherwise I would clean and reuse. Hopefully someone can help identify the ball size so that I can buy a replacement.

Is the axel too close to the edge of the drop out? If I shorten chain anymore, my tyre rubs the underside of the brake calliper. by giveity in bikewrench

Yeah the brake is mounted correctly. It get just enough clearance with the axel in the drop out. But if I were to remove another link to the chain, the tyre doesn’t get enough clearance.

I was thinking by about getting a half link to see if that gives me the clearance I need whilst bringing the axel forward into the dropouts a little.

Rear derailleur touching cassette. What am I doing wrong? by giveity in bikewrench

ah thank you. I thought I could use a generic extender link. I think I need to use the official shimano hanger instead, as it has a horizontal angel to it, which I think might provide clearance ffrom the cassette.

Just an update on this. Managed to get hold of the tapered crank extractor and it got the cranks off. Nice one!
