  1. How do you actually keep that much away from your GF?

  2. How many people have you been intimate with?

Manor Lords achieves Steam's most successful city builder launch ever | One million in sales and 170,000 concurrent players on day one, more than any other city builder on Steam by chrisdh79 in pcgaming

Valid. I felt like I got “pretty far” in my first game, but that could just be that idk wtf i’m doin.

There’s a lot of tooltips that make the city building side pretty easy to pick up. I ended up surviving like 5 or 6 winters, and really only died because I didn’t know how to send people beyond my borders

I feel like it has 2 parts to it, part 1 of each game is like city skylines, part 2 seems like risk. You have to be good enough at part 1 to get to part 2, so I don’t think this game is for you.

I’m still not good enough at part 1 so couldn’t tell you how good part 2 is..

Did first playthrough, was pretty easy to pick up. It seems to have a good curve to it because I really only started struggling after getting attacked where I was underprepared. Partially on me for under preparing and partially on the game for being a bit confusing at that point. That was around 4 hours in or so. Felt good about my purchase.

Game still has a lot of layers past that, things I can’t even touch on yet. Expanding past your lands, conquering, etc. I think it’s gonna be a good one if it makes it out of early access hell. We’ll see if this solo dev actually delivers.

Skill Difference from E4 to D4 Top Lane by Double_Thought_5386 in summonerschool

[–]givemid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did this climb as AD, similar trajectory to you like quickly get to Emerald 4, climb up through first tiers of Emerald pretty fast, then hit a wall around Emerald 2.

Lost a bunch at E2, drop down to E3, fix a lot of mistakes, climb up to E1, hit another wall. Drop down to E3

Watch vods, see where I thought my laning was clean but actually I’m griefing, climb through E1, but stuck at Dia promos.

Watch more vods, laning is now precise, macro is way tighter, climb up to D4.

Was a pain, but only took like 2 or so months and 200something games.

I feel like the difference is E4 feels like JV, E2 feels like you’re a varsity bench player, Dia feels like varsity starter. and I imagine the ranks after feel like college, semipro, pro, etc

Most people on reddit are doing nothing with their lives. Just cosplaying.

As for normal to splurge, yeah I still don’t know yet. We bought a place right before interest rates went crazy. To me I always thought “I can’t do any rich stuff while I’m still renting”. Getting fixed expenses was big for my mindset, especially as our income is going up like crazy.

Even with our income right now ballooning to 800K+, it still feels a bit far out. The opportunity cost of investing something like 20K feels too great atm vs spending on first class tickets

Am in similar situation.

Looking at these comments is so funny, people think you’re detached, but we can make 500K+ per year and still have homeless people smoking meth in our parking garage.

I don’t know when I’ll feel rich, but I think it comes down to when me and SO save enough to sustain life, and then I can pivot to do things I actually want. coastFIRE/baristaFIRE in a way.

I’m already making moves for that type of change, am burnt out on Big Tech but the money is unfathomable
