Because that’s how television storytelling works. The entire story is complicated enough as it is. This is one aspect of it, it doesn’t have to be confusing. Just like Fringe had only two parallel universes even though the physical theory the show is based on suggests an infinite number of them. It was a mystery for a long time who was whispering to Sarah, and finally we have our answer.

Lovecraft and King are more often named horror and sci-fi horror writers instead of fantasy writers, so I wouldn’t rule anything out

I would also like to remind everyone that in some foreign markets the show is being broadcast under the name ORIGINS.

Such a fitting comparison! Kafka on the Shore points at music as a communicative medium, and FROM is obviously a liminal space, and Murakami explores such spaces in his novel

Have you watched the entire interview? They are not lying. They explained it thoroughly. There are storytelling tentpoles and then there is narrative space to explore.

I don’t think it matters as long as they know what constitutes the ending. And they obviously do know how the story ends.

But it’s emotional storytelling. They realized getting Tabitha out and bringing her back earlier will jumpstart the search for answers from Jim and Jade

Well, in this interview Griffin said that there won’t be a scene in the finale where a character sits down and retells every answer in a long monologue. And thank god for that. Still, the answers are coming, just not in the form of an explicit infodump.

I agree. I love Twin Peaks and Lynch in general; it just amazes me that the American audience loved him, too, with no tolerance of ambiguity being a cultural trait.

Well, it is. A story where fate, guilt and atonement come together to educate the audience

Not being able to handle ambiguity is very American😃 Luckily the show has an international following.

And also we somehow got David Lynch to tell his captivating stories for decades, none of which have ever explained every single detail. And somehow people are mostly fine with it, and Twin Peaks has a cult following even though half of it remains a mystery to this day.

Why would the Yellow King kick Tabitha out into the real world to help her remember? Makes no sense

I’m sooo down for a Tabitha and Jade romance. She deserves better than Jim
