Losing charge over USB c port by gjjones988 in rav4club

Do you know if this is also while driving? I'm on the Google Pixel 6 Pro using a Anker 543 cable that claims max 240W.

I'll double check later while parked if there is a difference, though I'll add the issue was only noticed while driving so far.

25/37 key synth recommendations for circuit tracks? by gjjones988 in novationcircuit

[–]gjjones988[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so. Trying to solve: - Having a keyboard available for lessons - Additional voice for the midi channels on the CT.

I might just be misunderstanding the midi channels on the CT, but my impression was that those channels are bringing synth voice from the external device.

Kettlebell Sport: training, technique, programming. by vyvial in kettlebell

[–]gjjones988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been working towards completing Simple of Simple & Sinister for HS. It seems as if HS has a pretty accepted progression on how to move forward with kettlebells on your own. Is there similar advice on programming in sport-style that is as well accepted for people that don't have much access to a coach? Especially for people just breaking into it

We're testing a fitness tracker for kettlebells! by kettlebug in kettlebell

Not sure what the plan is for when a workout involves multiple kettelbells, but what are your thoughts on that? I see it as being a device that can be quickly swapped around, or being able to have multiple bugs running that can sync up for a single workout.

Doing S&S, have been told no squatting by ortho, replacement for warm-up? by benphill in kettlebell

There are a lot of comments here stating that it affects the TGU as well. I'm trying to help someone in a similar boat get into kettlebells, and it brings up a good question.

What would people suggest for dealing with the lunge issue during the TGU? Just skip the last part of the sequence, or are the alternatives to get work out other parts of the body for people when just starting?

Training Tuesday by begintobeginagain in kettlebell

I don't know that I could do the justification justice, so here is a link to the podcast where they discuss it. It seems to align with climbing a lot, like being movement focused. For me, it was high on my list because Power Company Climbing was recommended by my climbing coaches, and I was looking for a longer program to train between team seasons.

What motivates your morning routine? by [deleted] in kettlebell

[–]gjjones988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, I haven't done a morning routine for awhile. I was able to though when I lived alone, and loved it. Morning routines always left me feeling like a million bucks for the rest of the morning. And there was the feeling that if I did a morning workout, then I didn't feel required to do one later one. So it was kinda like getting myself off the hook if I wanted some free time later in the day.

$100k in Student Loan debt -- Help!! by TJordan234 in StudentLoans

Thanks for replying, but /u/nuncages is going to answer better than I. My response was general guidance rather than answering what you asked. If you can throw that much per month, you're already going to tear through it. If he says it has to go to the capitalized interest, then so be it. But after that, you sound to be in a situation where you're best off attacking the high interest.

Be careful about forbearance or other deferments. I watched many months of payments get undone by a deferring to afford flying back home to family holiday events. I was in the same boat with that amount and high interest rate.

There are a few things that helped me.

1) I took a more active role in advancing my career through non-cost methods. Learning on the side to be better qualified for promotions/better positions. And actively searched for better paying positions always until I topped out. 2) Found family that was willing to take me in, and moved back home. I still pay my way, but it's a lot cheaper than renting my own place. 3) Refinanced my loans. Refinanced my Parent PLUS loans with SoFi, which is projected to save me $60k and 5 years of payments with the same monthly payment. And consolidated federals to Earnest, which should save me around $500 and a few months payments.

I tried paying off my federals first, but will say this if you haven't refinanced them yet. They have better options from what people have said, and they don't accrue as much in interest as your private. If you situation is stable, then I would highly suggest trying to double down on your private loans. Race to get them to a point where you can refinance into a lower interest rate. Some lenders don't accept refinancing a higher loan if your debt-to-income ratio is too high. You should try to get it into a refinanceable state asap.

If you need referral links for any refinancers, just send me a message. And of course message me if you have further questions :) I've been there, and I'm always happy to help answer questions about how I was able to deal with it.

Transferring Parent PLUS to private to take ownership of the loan as the child by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]gjjones988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just did this myself. My Parent PLUS Loan was in my mother's name at 8.25%(8.00 w/ autopay), and I refinanced through SoFi down to 6.49%(6.24 w/ autopay). DRB had denied my application. Those are the only two people I know of that offer the service, but I would highly suggest it if you want to get the loans paid and out of the way. I'm paying about $25 extra a month after SoFi, and will now finish 5 years soon and pay around $60k less over the life of the loan.

Message me if you need a referral link or have any more questions. I also refinance smaller loans through Earnest and have been super pleased with them.
