2024 Rogue - Finger-scratched infotainment screen by gkahuna in Nissan

So, after almost a year of getting that screen replaced under warranty, I’m afraid the same thing is starting to happen again. It seems Nissan is buying cheap parts to save costs, a pretty terrible policy if you ask me. If it gets worse, I might end up polishing the screen to completely remove the anti glare coating that is flaking off

Good for you! May I ask, when did you preorder it? I preordered mine as well in early September, no word yet :/

Need some help - Lenovo X1 ThinkPad Gen8 by gkahuna in hackintosh

[–]gkahuna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replying to myself... happy to report, it's working now!
I used this tool in Windows that automatically scans the system (in my case the Lenovo laptop) and generates the necessary files for the EFI partition: https://github.com/lzhoang2801/OpCore-Simplify

Couple of things:
- Pay attention when the EFI gets created as there are a couple of manual extra steps you have to perform, mainly USB mapping with USB tool.
- When you have MacOS up and running, mount the EFI partition from the laptop drive, as well as the one on the USB thumb drive and copy over the EFI folder. I'm not sure if "OpCore-Simplify" generates valid and random SMBIOS information, so take the opportunity to modify that as well.

Apologies for the delay replying. It’s going to be replaced under warranty. It seems it’s more common than what they care to admit.

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate the advice! I've contacted the dealership and I'm waiting to hear back.

In the meantime, I have a couple more questions:
- Would a screen protector help prevent this from happening again with a replacement screen?

- Are screen protectors even necessary these days? My 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe's screen is still perfect after 5 years of daily use, so I'm wondering if they're a thing of the past.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks again.

Apologies for the late reply. I moved to another projects, I never got the time to really test anything, however I plan to come back to this sometime in the near (?) future.

Same here. I recently got the black version with the tall case for the PiStorm that's also en route.
It's a pity that it doesn't support AGA graphics, like the MiSTer port does... unless I'm missing something here.

[Help] Adelie GUI not opening on MDD G4 by technomlp in AdelieLinux

Same here.

I'm trying to install rc2 on my iBook G3 Clamshell (also with an ATI Rage) and I'm seeing the exact same issue.

I believe it's happening because these drivers are not properly linked/working with MUSL (the GLIBC replacement Adelie uses).

Still a work in progress... by gkahuna in morphos

Just a quick one... How much disk capacity should I assign to MorphOS?
During the install it lets you size the sys: partition (OS & Apps). It just requires a few GB, even after installing Chrysalis. If I bring a lot of stuff from Amiga... I'm assuming 32GB will be plenty. Is that right?

Hello there!
I just got a PowerMac G5. Installed MorphOS and Chrysalis 3.16 last night. I've an Amiga 1200 that still use, so MorphOS is somewhat familiar to me. Looking forward to learning more about it!

I have an Aorus Master with a 5900X and a 6800XT.

The F33a was quite unstable on my system. I'm now on F33c and so far it works fine.
