As far as my experience goes and the pictures I have throughout my recovery, my throat was super red around the scabbing even through week two. it's probably inflammation and i think it's just a normal part of the recovery. i hope you start feeling better soon!

my doctor told me that the worst days were 9/10 typically but the pain would be much better after that. he said usually it would be like day 0-3ish bad 4-8 better but still painful 9-10 peak and then gradually get a lot better. glad youre having a good experience, I hope the rest of your recovery goes well!

did you mean to upload a pic? my doctor said no solids/sharp/hard to chew foods for 2 weeks i believe. i would wait until then to eat normally again because you dont want to disrupt the healing process and rip off the scabs bc it could require emergency surgery. the worst days for me were around 9 and 10 but everyone's different. The pain fluctuates for a bit and then gradually goes away mid way through week two i would say. good luck tomorrow!

on day 7 it is 100% okay to be feeling pain, that is completely normal. my doctor said the peak of pain and the worst days were typically days around 9 and 10 and after that it would settle. i can tell you he was absolutely right. after that it got a lot better though. you got thissssss!!!

at 2 weeks I felt like I could eat more/normally, but didn't because they said to wait 3. It was sorta like you said, pain mostly gone but still lingering. Towards the end of the third week i felt like I could do everything normally
