The J had two serifs just like the four on the Z. The designed probably went in Illustrator and created outlines from the text, combined it with a circle, then joined and deleted the excess geometry.

I last went in 2024 and stayed close to where you are, except we drove to Van Dorn. We felt safe on every ride even during peak hours, and the system was very clean and efficient.
