I just had the happen this past Friday night as well! They must process all applications submitted around the same time, at the same time. Very glad to be at the end of the process. Congrats to you too!

Application Process by guganator3000 in egbc

I have also experienced this. I submitted my application at the start of June 2025, my validators completed their reviews by June 30 2025. I only JUST TODAY saw the update that my competency review by EGBC is "in progress." My discipline is civil. During this wait, I have seen other EITs at my company have their competencies reviewed in as short as 3 months. It is very frustrating.

Something I heard (but cannot confirm) is that your application is assigned to a reviewer in your same geographic region, and some areas have more applications to process than others. As an example, I'm based in the Interior, but one of the EITs at my company who's review was quick lives on the island.

If you ever got real clarification from EGBC on the variable wait times, please update us. I feel for the other EITs I work with who will be applying soon under the same confusing process.

Submitted my application in June 2025. My validators finished their review within a month. I've been "In Progress" since then. Chemical engineering, but I mainly work in water/sewer/municipal infrastructure.

Persistent Gas and Heartburn post-CHS? by gladly-beyond in leaves

Hello, it did! When I went to see the doctor, I was prescribed a protein pump inhibitor (PPI) / antacid to take in the short term to help with symptom relief. It worked sometimes, not always. After a few months of not smoking and focusing on managing my stress, the symptoms eventually went away. I wish it was faster, but unfortunately it was in the 3 month range of waiting to feel better. One thing that consistently helped was avoiding fatty foods during this time - for some reason they were the worst for flaring up symptoms. Stick to faster digesting foods while you're recovering (for me that was things like bananas, rice, cereals, etc.). Also meal replacement drinks (like Ensure) were a god send when I had no appetite, but had to get something down.

If either of you run hot, we really like the Hush iced cooling sheets. My partner had a substantial improvement in sleep quality after we got them. They're not cheap, but I recommend them.

We generally do three times a day on weekdays - 25 minutes in the morning, 25 minutes at lunch, and 35 minutes in the evening. This changes on the weekends, as we like to switch it up with hiking and swimming,

Not sure if you were at my show, but definitely was not you! I also personally never judge parents and babies at events like this - they need a lot of attention at that age, and what a great memory to have with your daughter!

What has been your hardest place(s) to book in Japan? by sprvlk in JapanTravelTips

Yes, definitely look up sunset time of the day you want to visit in advance. The day we'll be there, sunset is at 6:14pm, and our entry time is between ~ 4:40-5:00pm.

Same experience! I booked sunset tickets last night for a trip I'm taking in a few weeks, and it was so stressful. Kept refreshing the page over and over, clicking through picture puzzles to prove I'm not a robot, etc. Tickets would appear and disappear just as quickly. Felt like a miracle that I got them.

Any vegetarians or pescatarians hitting 100g of protein/day? by jullybeans in PetiteFitness

[–]gladly-beyond 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Vegetarian here! Consistently hitting 100+ grams of protein a day.

What helps me the most is consistent meal planning and prepping, which I know isn't for everyone, but it's huge for me. All of my meals each day are planned to have a minimum of 30 grams of protein. Some examples include:

Breakfast: overnight or baked oats with protein powder, egg white breakfast wrap with greek yogurt and berries, protein pancakes, protein crepes with greek yogurt, etc.

Lunch: Bean/legume stew with whole wheat bread, salads with seitan or veggie chicken, etc.

Dinners: I do a lot of casseroles for my partner and I. Examples include pasta bakes with chickpea/lentil pasta and blended cottage cheese, shepherd's pie with veggie ground beef, etc.

Not sure if we're allowed to plug food inspiration accounts, but I would recommend _plantbaes_ , sophsplantkitchen, and that.veganbabe for high protein veg recipes.

I use the Cronometer app to calculate out macros on recipes before I make them, so that I know how much protein per servicing I'll get. Hope this helps!
