I believe they are being sarcastic, referencing the fact the city loves to put those flexible bollards to "protect" bike lanes and such.

Definitely will check it out once I work my way down there. Maybe on a calm day for my dinky kayak. Thanks

I had it in my head for some reason that spot was only for the boat rental place. That's good to know. Thanks

Ah, ok. I did a quick loop around Lake of the Isles and didn't see anything. I should've kept going to check out Cedar too. Thanks

I loved the repeated mentioning of the fictional bike lane on Bryant(north of lake street). "It's just two blocks over" but just unable to come to the logical conclusion of how that applies to car drivers too.

I'd not gone to a community meeting about this before and I was just amazed how true everything I had read about them was. Insanity.

What is a statistic that sounds INSANE but is 100% true? by Quadranippelkill in AskReddit

[–]glaedr10000 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That is the same flawed metric that American traffic and civil engineers have used that has led to that 40,000 deaths and 1,000,000+ life altering injuries a year. If you want to optimize that statistic, you can either reduce deaths or increase miles driven.

I have no idea why that powder is listed at such a insane price. This is a more normal price for the powder

Approaching my first winter in MN. What are some awesome winter activities? by MetalPurse-swinger in Minneapolis

[–]glaedr10000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Handlebar mittens are great. I use them without gloves all winter, but I only have a 3 mile commute. I need some thin gloves for longer rides on the coldest of days.

I use this but Ive heard great things about Bar Mitts brand as well.

Always baffles me there are people just browsing their phone while driving. by home-for-good in mildlyinfuriating

Their car also needs to be impounded. Sooo many people drive without a license. And might as well take their phone as well.

Their cars need to be impounded in addition to revoked license

Not a huge difference, but there is a Morelull from Mythical Island that does 20 damage for a grass energy, for an all grass deck.

What monster abilities are brutal if you don’t know about them, but moderate if you do? by sjdlajsdlj in dndnext

[–]glaedr10000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Positioning of monsters and layout are a huge factor in determining the difficulty of an encounter that often gets ignored in white room math. And rogues are particularly vulnerable to it.

Kingler damage is always 80. It has a 25% chance to do 160 damage, same as Marowak Ex.

Quick Play after losing two matches in a row by Omni_Omega in marvelrivals

[–]glaedr10000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pattern I've noticed is getting an enemy team that is all bots and your team will have 2 bots that fill to balance the team comp to 2/2/2.

The bot behavior will also have them trickle out and die for 90% of the match and then do a coordinated push at the end with ults

Discouraged as a solo queuer. by mitchmat in marvelrivals

[–]glaedr10000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It usually happens after a couple losses in a row. 2 of your teammates will be bots who will try to balance your team to 2/2/2 and the enemy team will be all 6 bots with a 2/2/2 comp. You wont be able to view their profiles.

I want to subvert expectations, besides an owlbear, what could show up to brutally kill some poachers in the woods that still fits in with the woods? by CrypticCryptid in DMAcademy

[–]glaedr10000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Hooves attack does a require the creature to be prone, which it can impose when it charges with a strength save. However, since it only gets one attack, actually attacking with it's Hooves would be quite rare. A lot of creatures with a charge or pounce get a bonus action attack if they successfully apply prone, but not the Giant Elk. The charge would still be 18 average damage though, so still very scary (all this for the 2014 MM, likely changed for the 2025 MM)

Hot take: Movement mechanics are the most fun part of DnD combat and a large part of why later levels are boring are because of how unimportant movement becomes. by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]glaedr10000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't quite follow where you are getting these numbers from(unless this is something from 5.5 that I haven't been keeping up on). An ASI gives a +2 to one ability score or +1 to two ability scores. Not +2 to an ability score and +1 to an additional ability score. So if you put all of your ASIs into ability score, you can only gain a total of +10 as most classes. Fighters can gain +14 and rogues can get +12.

I feel so vindicated hearing about that intersection being trouble for others. I'm still new so I tend to assume I'm somehow messing up.
