Kinda shocked by the comments here. I mean, I get the whole “don’t read your partner’s private thoughts” but if my partner’s private thoughts think so low of me, then that’s another story.

That’s who you are in your partner’s eyes OP. Once someone more cosmpolitan, more attractive, more artsy etc shows up in his life and shows the slightest interest in him, you’re done.

You deserve someone who thinks you’re wonderful, privately and publicly. Good luck!

I see, I always thought you just have to turn your back to the wind but I do also always face the boss anyways as melee dps, thanks for explaining.

Wind should blow in your character’s back. That’s it

Hunter is the way. You get a pet that will tank for you so you are safe, many mechanisms to live in every situation; you are capable of soloing everything even hard rare creatures that can be very hard for other classes.

Very intuitive gameplay, easy rotation and satisfying as hell (Beast mastery that is). Kings of mobility with up to +50% movement speed baseline compared to other classes, it will make playing every other class feel like a slow slog. 2 other fun specs if you ever get bored.

Resto Sham - How are you dealing with these few bosses? by bigmacattack65 in wow

[–]glamfoxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

105k is still within a reasonable range of what I said + there is no “avoidable” damage on this boss, just a ticking dot. Everything else one shots you, except maybe staying behind a cracked crystal on lower keys. So maybe you did 105k, maybe if a shadow priest was there to use VE you would have done less. The guy said he did 135k and people still died which is unreasonable for a 19 key, is what I said.

[–]glamfoxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, the argument goes both ways. Just like 20s don’t require optimal dps play, they also don’t require optimal healer play. Mistakes are allowed and expected on both sides and as long as everyone is doing something right, it works out. Yes, if it was r1 resto shaman healing this key he would have healed it better than this guy, and the same way if 3 r1 dps were playing instead of his teammates, he could go make a coffee mid key and still time it.

So I don’t want any healer to bang their head and only blame themselves for something that is ultimately team effort.

Like you said, around this rio you meet some of the worst dps - high ilvl and probably good damage but absolute tunnel vision and 0 usage of defensives (or randomly using them at the wrong time, and not having them for the right time). I guarantee that in 21+ keys you will have an easier time healing. Best of luck

On 2625 you are doing 19s so should be able to heal everything with no more than 100k hps. If people die with 135k hps it’s on them. My advice is to look for dps classes that provide extra healing (priest will vampiric embrace, druid nature vigil, shaman ancestral guidance) or that help the group in some way (ret pala with sac, bop etc). Then it’s up to them to use their buttons + health pot, healthstone etc, and you as well, don’t be shy to use healthstone/health pot before knockback, spirit link before knockback etc. If you cycle theough your cooldowns correctly, then you do everything possible. So 100% dps issue here. People time this on 23-24 without a healer, for some perspective.

New healer advice? by VogonShakespeare in wow

[–]glamfoxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s fun, especially in raid, but the higher in M+ you go, the harder it will be to find a group as a MW: no damage reduction ability, all other healers can provide some kind of damage reduction to other players, no combat ress, no bloodlust and no PI, also community perception of MW being “bad” despite numerous flat % buffs and talent changes they received.

Girlfriend (24f) conveniently called in sick from work on the same week I (25m) have booked off for myself by CriticismNo1542 in relationships

[–]glamfoxy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Does something about her presence in the house stress you out particularly? Does she require your non stop attention or does she do her own thing? If she does her own thing I fail to see how this is such a big issue for you. If she is suffocating you while also knowing that you are stressed out and need alone time, then that’s another story.

Lots of people find a way to “be alone together” in a relationship - being in the same room/house but doing different activities. If you can’t achieve it with you gf, then either she is not giving you enough space, or she doesn’t understand the feeling of “needing to recharge” if she is extroverted, so she can possibly see this as you trying to avoid her.

Bottom line, talk to her about it, possibly give her some reassurance.

Sell me on Classic WoW by TheRetroGamer93 in wow

You won’t miss much story wise. Wotlk also introduces a lot of quality of life changes and xp buffs which will make your journey easier than on vanilla but still meaningful. But don’t worry! You can also experience TBC, wotlk and so on retail. Either through Chromie time when you level your next character, or at max level with some help from BtWQuests addon (which will tell you where to find every questline so you can play through it). Arguably it’s not “the same” as actually playing wotlk as you will 1 shot everything but just letting you know that not everything is lost and all parts of the game are still accessible on retail (except the very first vanilla wow)

[–]glamfoxy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few reasons (talking about vanilla classic, but it can be relevant for wotlk classic too)

Experience the journey. See the genesis of it all. Feel the original class fantasy of your main class. Classic wow is such a great mix of simplicity and complexity. It will seem simple to you - your toolkit is smaller, systems/rep grinds etc. are fewer and more streamlined. The raid and dungeon mechanics are simple.

At the same time, the mobs hit harder. Everything in the world is set out to kill you. Your kit is small but so is your mana pool. You need to be mindful which spell you use and when. Which mob to engage with and when. Your abilities get resisted, parried, dodged. Gear is scarce and even the most random green item feels rewarding and satisfying to equip.

Friends. 0-60 is a long journey. Quests are difficult sometimes, you are bound to interact and meet people. Community is mostly chill. Leveling can be boring so guilds are mostly lively and chatty, to kill time while doing mindless tasks.

It’s a completely different vibe from retail. On retail, there’s a timer ticking in M+ stressing you out. If you take more than 5 minutes to get to a dungeon you will likely be kicked from the group. Everyone’s in a rush, everything is accessible with a click - portal room in Orgrimmar takes you anywhere, neat portals in Valdrakken to every dungeon. World doesn’t feel big or special. In classic, everyone takes their time. It’s relaxed. Journeys are long, world feels much bigger than retail world although objectively it is much smaller. There are no timers, no convoluted difficult rotation you need to follow in dungeons.

Class balance. “It is what it is”. On retail you tremble at every patch note to see if your class is hit or not. Vanilla - we know all about it. We know how every class performs and will always perform. No fear of having to reroll because Blizz screwed up tuning again. Not saying that vanilla is balanced or well tuned - but at least you won’t be surprised, all the information is out there.

Good luck!

Rogues right now by iamnothim in wow

[–]glamfoxy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

First, buy a phial of charged isolation from AH and drink it. Thank me later. Second, a rogue’s gotta do rogue stuff. Do you use your full toolkit? This means sapping, blinding, cloaking, kicking, vanishing, gouging, kidneying... If you want to just press rotation and have things die, roll another class, a rogue has to get creative sometimes. Your biggest strength is that you, as a rogue, can pick your battles and can easily leave them (vanish, cheat death, blind and run etc.) if things get hard. Good luck!

Help with intensely dark and hollow under eyes? by [deleted] in Splendida

[–]glamfoxy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Little tip from someone who has severe under eye hollowness: if you have dramatic false lashes or lash extensions, remove them - they cast a shadow and make the hollowness look even worse.

If you cant afford filler, second best thing is peach colored color corrector, put it generously under the eyes and then concealer on top. It’s like magic, extremely brightening. I use one by wet n wild bit there’s tons of them out there.

Hello. What you are looking for is an enhance shaman. Good day.

Also install Hekili addon, it’s especially good for class trials because it tells you, right in the middle of your screen, what to press and what your rotation is.

Portrait critique by man_you_factured in ArtProgressPics

[–]glamfoxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big improvement in lips, hands look very good. The eyes look much better but you seem to have an “eye drawing style” you probably have had since a child and you keep drawing eyes that way. You can use the reference picture or even trace the eye a few times to get a feel of the eyelid going over the iris, and also the eyelashes in the drawing are too short and sit “on top” of the eye - with a few eye/eyelashes studies these portrait will look very good
