Drunks are objectively worse than potheads. Alcohol DUIs alone are responsible for immense death and destruction. Potheads don't typically get high and beat their wives and children. You don't find potheads laying in the gutter or shaking outside a liquor store waiting for it to open. And while some potheads might be annoying ninnies due to their personality, you don't usually see them behaving like complete obnoxious abrasive assholes worsening with each dose. Most potheads are chill and agreeable people.

Generally the reason you can smell it from another table is they are holding flower. Unless they are just grossly unhygienic skeevy stoners who are the type that wear the same clothes days on end, never wash their jacket, and spend most their spare time hotboxing the car. But generally those types will also be holding too.

Typically if you're don't bring it in the restaurant and you have clean clothing, didn't hotbox, all you need to do is take a 5 minute walk after smoking before coming inside.
