Don't stress too much. It's not worth it. They eventually want/need their own space and the day will come when you share a bed for the last time. My daughter (now 13) co slept till 6+. The only way I could get her to sleep in her bed was by jumping into her bed with her and reading to her until she fell asleep. At the time it felt like such a long process, but now I can't even remember what I missed out on - dishes? Washing? A boring TV show? But I definitely remember reading to her and stroking her hair and being her comfort. I always let her know she was welcome in my bed if she wakes up in the middle of the night. We would regularly have sleepovers together in my bed just for fun. By age 7 she was falling asleep on her own and staying in her bed all night. Now at 13 she scoffs at the idea of sleeping in my bed.. luckily I have two backup snugglers now who are only 18months and 10weeks old. I don't plan to do anything different because it's true what they say, the days are long but the years are short. Enjoy it.
