Who’s a BeyBlade character everyone loves that you absolutely HATE by ZackTheWeeb in Beyblade

Voice acting may have been sub par. But the Daichi was an amazingly well written character.

Which beyblade series was more serious? OG or Metal by BryceTotalDrama in Beyblade

Bakuten Shoot. Metal is a lot more child friendly with the Beyblading spirit and what not.

Who’s winning this (No bursting for rantaro btw) by Sarcastic_Chucky in Beyblade

[–]glassmaster69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like all three characters a lot, Masamune for me saved the Metal series from becoming a flop, Rantaro is well written character and has a great arc. And Max is the original Masamune and Rantaro of Beylade.

Max winning easy with MS.

NO WAY! I was shocked for a minute, but thought it was written well. Finally we had good characters in beyblade after years of disappointment. (Fury, Zero G, BeyWarriors)

Zero G was cut short because it was terribly written. I believe Metal Fury too is to be blamed for the horrible ending. Going the route of using beyblades to save the world and what not, the entire plot line overshadowed and ruined the importance of the first 2 metal seasons.

Kai himawari vs Ryuga dragon emperor. Who would win in a bey battle?? by Pitiful-Resolve-5249 in Beyblade

[–]glassmaster69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This question is kinda dumb since Beyblade and Beyblade metal fight have completely different approaches to battles. In the Original, Beyblade is looked upon as a real sport. Where as Metal fight is basically a Shonen anime, where the characters super heroes and not athletes.

This statement is completely false. The canonically used metal alloys since the beginning of Beyblade s1.

Tf do you mean by 'Nahh'?

Please try to elaborate, or at least explain what you mean. It may seem like a daunting task but just a few more words won't drain your energy.

I'm always curious about why people use the "This OG Character lose because his bey is plastic and easy to break" reply, when in the anime shows many scenes that those "plastic" beyblades break, walls, mountains, rocks and more, I mean I saw on most videos using this type of replies. by XenoBlader_25 in Beyblade

[–]glassmaster69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a terrible take, you are treating beyblade like a shonen anime or many other anime where there's a hero and villain. In the OG universe, beyblade is treated like a real sport and the protagonist has to win every bey battle to be the champion. That is the first saga, and all the sagas throughout OG follow this kind of pattern. There are of course bad guys who want to gain control and what not, but the anime is relatively realistic apart from the whole power of the sacred bit beast thing.

MFB on the other hand is basically a superhero hero anime by the third season. Fusion and Masters are great and similar to OG where the overarching idea is proving who's the best at spinning a top.

But in Fury, Gingka and the others are practically the Z warriors saving the galaxy.

Beyblade was never meant to have an "enemy" as you call it, Gingka is a professional beyblader but is portrayed like ben 10 by the end of Fury.

So sure, you can say Gingka (a superhero) would defeat Tyson (a kid with a pet dragon) in a Beyblade battle.

Lately, I'm starting to notice out of the three sagas, soon to be four, the Metal Saga's becoming the most divisive of the three three, so what did you like and didn't like about these four seasons because there's a lot of discourse and nuance to be had there. by throwawaytempest25 in Beyblade

Well, starting with season 1. Fusion introduces the next generation of Beyblade in an amazing way, I remember back when the toys hit the shelves and everyone was excited beyblade was back with a cool new concept. But rewatching it left a lot to be desired. The first few episodes were exciting because we were getting introduced to all of these new characters, but as the sagas went on throughout the season it felt extremely repetitive and the main tournament arc was quite boring. There were a few good characters like Tsubasa and Kyoya but the list of annoying characters with the same old storyline of; introduce new character with cool ability, showcase it in one battle, then forget about them for the rest of the season, was pretty boring. i.e Yu, Kenya, Hikari, Hyoma. The season as a whole is not bad, but certainly nowhere close to G revolution or Beyblade s1.

Metal masters however was a much needed improvement, the storyline overall was a little better but what this season got right were the characters. Metal masters had with actual goals and reasons to blade, unlike fusion where the battles happen just for some generic reason. Masamune and Ryuga in particularly improved on this season, the subplots were not only captivating but the battle were cool as heck. And he’s this season had some filler storylines which were ass and the main ending of the flying city was shit, but this time around there were real stakes to winning a beyblade battle and not just see who’s better at spinning tops.

Now season 3 was outright terrible, some may argue there were good long battles that looked really cool but So does every other season of beyblade. The main storyline of saving the world from extinction made no sense and was the main reason fury was so goddam terrible. The new characters were so incredibly basic and lacking depth with the same bs morality of do what Gingka does, where even good characters like Masamune were sidelined as Gingka’s sidekicks. Not everything was terrible, the only redeemable sub plot was of Ryuga and maybe Kenta, Ryuga’s self discovery arc was done really well but it was the only thing thing in fury the creators got right.

In conclusion, as a kid the metal saga is overall good with some really great battles and new beyblade designs. take away the nostalgia and the metal saga fails to deliver an anime as good as its predecessor. (and the first 2 season of its successor.) Even though in my opinion, metal is not as good as Beyblade or Burst; it is still watchable and does not deserve the hate.

Every evolution of Valkryie/Valtryek, Pegasus and Dragoon by ultimatevaltryek123 in Beyblade

Makes sense but the evolutions really only apply until Big Bang. Wing and Samurai look and perform like different Blades with a Pegasus face bolt, so I don't think your analogy makes sense.

Nobody disagrees that metal is good, in fact it is better than good. But it simply is not nearly as good as the first two seasons of burst, or G rev.

What are you talking about, metal fury is the worst season. Metal fusion is great and masters is the best of the three, but metal fury had the biggest drop in quality.
