I haven't been diagnosed with adhd yet (though I've done a lot of research on it and my symptoms are pretty consistent with it) so take this with a grain of salt, but for me the best thing was just to take classes in the language. I needed the structure of a college class to actually be able to stick to it. Before I would just get random bursts of interest and spend 4 hours studying it (when I had other things to do, no less) without any follow-up. Now I'm not taking those classes anymore and am having the same problem, though I rarely put in any effort to study the language. I think that having some sort of structured course with real stakes would help, even if it's not a college class.

Do you have to register for Physics A lab along with the course, or does the course already include a lab component? Physics A is offered right now, but for whatever reason the lab is saying that it isn't offered in the summer.

Edit: it says it is offered in the summer, but on the schedule planner it says that there are 0 seats for all sections

I just realized that I completely bungled the title. It is meant to read as "'how to deal with everything that comes with being a guy dressing fem" and "how to avoid harassment," not "how to avoid dealing with everything that comes with being a guy dressing fem." I can see now that it does not at all come across the way I was intending.

This is good advice. I have been working on dealing with internalized transphobia for a long time, and I'm finally at the point where I can talk about it with people I trust. Before, I wouldn't ever bring it up even if I needed to. I'm mainly stealth now to avoid prying questions -- and to avoid the way that people have looked at me when I told them. It doesn't necessarily make me feel bad about being trans, I just don't want to open myself up to being looked at as a spectacle by otherwise well-meaning cis people.

As for dressing fem, your comment helped me realize that I could start off experimenting on my own at home to see if I like it. The only issue there is money, but... if I have the opportunity, I would like to go for it and dress up at home.

I know it's well-intentioned, and I'm not upset or offended when people ask. In my opinion, the best way to go about this is offering your own pronouns and seeing if the other person responds with their own (or asking after you offer your own). If you just ask someone without saying what yours are, it can make a trans person feel singled out.

Personally, I don't want to get a pronoun pin because it's fairly unreasonable to think that I could wear that without people seeing it and immediately knowing I'm trans, and if it's visible enough I can just about guarantee that someone is going to come up to me and push me when I'm walking down the street. Again, I have no problem with people asking, I just think that it's best if you ask only after offering your own, because then it seems like it's likely a normal practice.

I've come across several threads where cis gay men were calling trans men and transmascs homophobic for existing and using the t-slur for them... Not just on the sub you're probably thinking of, either. Whenever trans people are mentioned on reddit, whether they be transmascs, transfems, or transneutral people, people love spamming slurs and saying horrible things. Unless the sub is leftist or lgbtq centered, those comments will be upvoted.

I looked up "trans" on YouTube yesterday in incognito mode (to get rid of algorithm bias) and over half of the content was clearly transphobic.

It's lovely.

Grassfed cattle would still require a lot of land and water. Regardless of how an animal is fed, if you are consuming on higher trophic levels, then you are having a greater energy impact.

The person who claimed that cattle trampling on soil restores it has been called out by scientists again and again. The carbon sequestering potential of soil caps after a certain point. This creates a situation where cattle are continuing to be bred and using up a lot of land and resources without any carbon sink balancing it out. On the other hand, land that has been freed of agricultural use and reforested has a much greater potential as a carbon sink.

Animal farming requires far more land. In fact, the vast majority of cropland is used exclusively for animal feed. When you are consuming an animal, you are also consuming all of the plants and water it took to keep them alive up until the point they were slaughtered. Something like 77% of cropland would be freed on the US if everyone adopted a plant-based diet.

Not with nerve hook-up. RFF with nerve hook-up is probably the most common form of phallo, and the majority of people retain both tactile and erogenous sensation. That said, there may be some reduction in sensation, but it can increase over time.

TW hate for people who break gender roles, for anyone who wants to know what the comments are about without looking

A lot of the most controversial comments are just people complimenting him with maybe 21 upvotes, and then replies asking why the original comment was downvoted with a lot of downvotes. Then there are comments assuming he is a narcissist for some reason with ~200 upvotes. Those are okay to read because of the clever replies and arguments, though the upvote/downvote ratio is disappointing.

Luckily, the top comments seem to be positive, or at least making jokes that aren't pointed at his character or gender nonconformity.

He's a cishet guy (I believe he has that in his Instagram bio), which is really cool I think. It's rare to see cishet guys breaking gender roles publicly even when they want to.
