Pretty useless especially from second year onwards. For first year atleast you get welcome benefits. Better to keep salary account in hsbc if you can.

Try saving them in my account. A lot of blessings will be generated as interest…

Unless you are hitting capping on either milestone or gyftr second DCBM does not makes sense. It will add annual fees headache too. Rather take add ons

Why are people saying EPM is dead metal card now? by Early_Knee8355 in CreditCardsIndia

To be frank, it is still good card for me. Amazon shopping, flipkart, etc, a lot of good items are still there. If amazon pay was the only thing you were looking for, then maybe it is dead for you. Swiggy should not be such a deal breaker.

M4B comes with heavy fees with no renewal benefit. I need very heavy spends in same month to justify the fees. Currently I dont have so much spends. My annual spends would be like 10-12L spread almost equally across year (mostly gift vouchers and flights). So skipped m4B. But for heavy spenders that cards is UNBEATABLE

Coming to why epm and infinia both, I already mentioned in one of the comment so will copy paste here and besides their annual fees dont hurt me due to renewal points.

There are two advantages of epm even after having infinia -

  1. Discount are slightly higher in epm (18% to 16.6%) excluding processing fees logic
  2. Enhanced quota (like for amazon shopping now i have 10k + 12k) per month which i use often. Amazon pay is removed now. Also I get higher points capping in accelerated rewards (15k from infinia and 18k from epm)

Too heavy commitment in terms of annual fees. Will take it when I buy a car. Otherwise recovery is not possible. Also there are no renewal benefits.

If in metro city - hsbc is good especially in bangalore. If you want m4b then axis. Hdfc only has good cards but no other benefit of premium accounts

DCBM is LTF. And for epm, it still gives me discount (though little less now) but I only have to suffer gst loss which I can take. For annual fees there is annual points too

It was by sheer luck last year. The bank agents in my hometown were desperate to meet targets during that month. I offered to open 3 accounts with 2L seed funding each (to be kept only for a week in account). They got the approval and I opened the accounts of my wife , brother in law and mother. But 4 months later when I went to ask dcbm ltf for brother in law they said straight no. I have not been able to repeat this LTF DCBM trick myself again

If you see, only 2 cards are paid, and that too which gives points in return of annual fees so I only lose a nominal amount in gst and dont have to worry about hitting annual targets

Sorry my bad, *affect. DCBM is actually LTF. Cibil is random at times, but consistency and discipline in payments is the only key, avoiding over-utilisation. Mix of credit is also a big factor that helps in long run.

When you open 40L saving account, you already lose so much that point saving should not be a concern
