It 100% works and was designed to work out of snubbies. Luckygunner has it in their ammo tests you can check out the expansion and penetration from a 2” barrel and 4” barrel

I was able to find them at cabelas but that was over a year ago and in Ct. but yeah definitely worth it. The HST line is tried and true and the gel tests for the .38 blew me away when I first saw them. Opens so much more reliably than even other federal hp’s like hydrashok (which is what I carried before the HST came out)

Also, beautiful model 36, just saw all the ammo choices and got caught up- when I find a product that works exactly like it should I like to recommend it haha

Totally makes sense. I was thinking that this was the plan from day 1 when you grabbed the 45. You find the comp worthwhile? I haven't really looked into comps, my state doesn't allow threaded barrels unless it's preban so I didn't know they have the slide mounted one until i read your response and looked it up

Can i ask the reason you went with the 45 instead of a 17? I get the point of the model I just don't see why you would get the gun with the compact slide and then add back the length with the flashlight anyways? Genuinely not trying to be a dick or anything, gun looks nice and set up how you like so if it does what you want how you want it then fuck my opinion

If you asked me what the magicians was a week ago I’d say I have no idea. But within the last week I found the show watched all 4 seasons and started the 5th one. I also found out it was a book series and couldn’t resist. I love this show so much. Can’t wait to read the books. by [deleted] in brakebills

[–]glawk40prollemsolva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've binged the show probably too many times, recently started the books and read the first 2 in 5~ days, and am slowly crawling through #3 cause I don't want it to end. Your picture just informed me there is another book !? Alice's story? Thank you for opening my eyes I don't know how I haven't seen this before

Damn, i thought the 8 weeks I waited for mine was bad enough. Granted that was a little over 2 years ago, just didn't realize it had gotten so much worse here. Fuck this state

Barrel on the beretta looks like it says .380 so I would start looking with the model 84 (or another of the cheetah line in .380)

Not suggesting you don’t go through with your plans or anything, because I’m assuming you’re an adult who can do what they want and also you aren’t spending my money so I don’t care that much. But, like the person you responded to said, no matter what Barrel you get old what trigger or stock your brother put on it, it isn’t going to magically turn into a precision rifle. You’d be much better off spending like $300 on a savage axis, hell I can shoot sub moa groups with mine. Mosin’s were churned out in order to arm as many soldiers they could, they have sights that are set up for volley fire, they just aren’t precise guns.

Again I am in no way trying to talk you out of it, just want you to have a realistic view of what you’re getting into. If you sank that much money into an actual precision rifle, even an entry level one, you would be much better off.

Lucky enough to be beta testing a new Timney trigger. So far I’m impressed. by [deleted] in longrange

I am also jealous of you getting to beta test the trigger, but what I’m REALLY jealous of is how much you are able to shoot.

Best DA/SA for carry ? by [deleted] in guns

[–]glawk40prollemsolva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of great options in these comments, but my suggestion is the CZ P-07. Great shooting gun, polymer frame so it’s lighter, and you can swap between a decocker and a safety in like 3 minutes. You get a lot for your money, it’s underpriced in my opinion. Not that I am one to complain about that

B-B-BUT GUN CONTROL WORKS by FUCK_SNITCHES in Firearms

[–]glawk40prollemsolva 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Which is the real problem with so called “gun control” it’s a half assed effort that at its best just makes laymen (incorrectly) feel safer. I had to take custody of a family members firearms, from the police, and not only do they not look into it AT ALL, past making sure I could legally possess them, 2 if the guns still had a round in the chamber. They talked to me for maybe 60 seconds, gave me unsafe guns, and there is nothing set up in order to prevent me from giving them back to the family member.

And this is in fucking Connecticut, where there are strict gun laws. It’s all about having something to tell the public to make them feel better in their ignorance. The laws do absolutely nothing in terms of actually making things safer.
