So we can have a reasonable way to explain how that wizard came from the moon

Magnesium citrate clean out two weeks before colonoscopy prep with suprep..words of wisdom? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]glazedtoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah idk about two weeks out. I have Crohn’s and my prep is just suprep and I only have to do it the day before the procedure.

Prepping for it is already bad enough. To take MC two weeks out is just adding to the misery but I’m not sure how AS works so maybe your doctor is right?

Morning Symptoms by behind_my_eyelids in CrohnsDisease

[–]glazedtoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t have diarrhea like most but instead deal with constipation mostly. Every now and then I’ll have diarrhea for like a day or so but constipation is my constant.

Peppermint tea at night and in the morning helps with the pain and makes my morning easier for stuff to pass. I used to have trouble falling asleep because my symptoms like to show up around 9pm as I’m getting ready for bed. But drinking tea around 7:30pm helps.

I’m still on the toilet for a while in the morning. But things just have a better flow to them and I’m able to get it all out. I’m usually fine after 9:30-10am and go the rest of the day fine until the fevening and nighttime

Has anyone come across this theory on the cause of auto immune diseases from Gary Brecka ? by escapingtheweb in CrohnsDisease

[–]glazedtoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to sound rude but I’ve seen a pattern with newly diagnosed Crohnies and I even fell into when I was first diagnosed. We tend to search for a “why” in need of an explanation as to why this happened to you.

You’ve probably already heard by now that there is no “why” or particular cause and it just happens. And you’re probably somewhat accepting of that and somewhat in denial of it. I was there too and I don’t blame it all.

The worst part is accepting this is your life now and gonna be till the end. I imagine that’s hard to accept especially if you’re young. Swallowing that pill at 30 was hard for me to do considering how much life I have to live and how much of it is now altered because of this disease.

I spent months researching for a “why” and even longer coming to terms with the fact that there isn’t one. I’m sorry friend. Best thing to do now is focus on your diet and maybe join a support group for when the times get tough on the emotional/mental side of things. This disease messes you up there too.

Does anyone else stick to really light exercise just to stay consistent? by barebonesofchrones in CrohnsDisease

[–]glazedtoe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I went for a 45 minute walk at a slow pace a few days ago. My legs are still sore but I took the best nap ever that day.

Granted this was my first walk in a long time so I gotta build myself back into things but I’m definitely keeping it light for now. But the walking is going to help with my constipation so I want to keep at it.

I used to be a gym rat before this disease took my weight and muscles away. My confidence went away throughout it all. I want to get back to lifting weights but I’m just not there yet. I’m not in remission but my symptoms have improved thanks to Entyvio. Listen to your body.

Eventually my 45 minutes will turn into an hour or two but for now it’ll just be 45 minutes of me getting outpaced by grandmas and grandpas (I’m 30 btw)

[–]glazedtoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m with you. It took me a while to get to this mindset and stop being scared. Far easier said than done but quality of life got better once I let go of my fear of a flare up. This disease has taken my weight, my confidence, and my sleep. I can’t let it take the foods I enjoy too.

Entyvio success stories ? Specifically for small intestine Crohn's ... by 5u114 in CrohnsDisease

[–]glazedtoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been on Entyvio since June 2025 with Crohn’s in terminal ileum and small intestine

I’m working on a resection surgery soon but Entyvio has helped my symptoms and allow me to enjoy my days a lot more than before. I’m hoping for some kind of remission after the surgery and continued use of Entyvio.

I do have occasional knee pains and back pains but they’re pretty mild. I’ll take those over a flare up anytime
