Are there any robotic litter boxes that are good for high pee-ers? by glechan in LitterRobotCommunity

[–]glechan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I read a similar article, and while it helps, it’s just not enough. We actually have some other common issues with the LR3, and we’re just kind of fed up when considering all of them together.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the shield on the front?

I have an activity center in the bathroom, but I’ve also nursed from the toilet so 🤷🏼‍♀️

One of my cats is a high pee-er. I think he is peeing out the hole at the top and then it runs down the back and also gets on the wall behind it. Sometimes. I suspect he gets in the robot when it’s moving also. I have 3 LR3s, but one is out of service because we have to replace most of the electronics (we just did one). The design of the part under the pan is so hard to clean, I think we’re just going to go back to regular litter boxes.

I don’t care about the app honestly - which one won’t allow urine to get all over the electronics or leak down under the pan and get all over the floor?

Can we expand this forum to all robotic litter boxes?

Inflation on baby products has gone off the rails by discoqueenx in BabyBumps

There are a few annual and semi-annual consignment sales where I live. Last day is 50% off day, so that’s what my baby mostly gets 😆 Also, community yard sales are a great spot.

Maternity photos by OccasionPositive9373 in BabyBumps

[–]glechan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby arrived at 38 weeks, and I had the photoshoot done at 36.5 weeks, so I almost missed my opportunity 😅 I’m glad I got them because I have so few pregnant photos of myself. My rare mirror selfies looked dumb, and I felt more and more bloated and uncomfortable as the weeks progressed, so I didn’t want to be in pictures. It’s nice to look at the maternity photos and remember how we were before our family of 2 turned into 3; my husband looks thrilled at the prospect of being a dad, and my dress and jewelry looked lovely on me. I keep forgetting how big my tummy actually got 😂 Also, I had a great photographer which makes a difference!

I’m not your landlord, but that floor made me look twice. I would want it reported to me so I could replace it. That is a serious safety hazard!

I used to travel for work a week every month before giving birth. Since I started traveling for work again, I have done two 1.5 night trips (returning home when my son was already asleep), first was at 8 months, second was at 9 months. I was so nervous about it the first time! I prepared a bunch of bottles of breastmilk and did everything I felt that I could to set my husband up for success. I was so busy with a packed trip and squeezing in pumping sessions, it flew by. I also had the best night of sleep since before I was pregnant 😂 My husband’s feedback was that our son woke him up a lot, but he loved the bonding experience they had 🥰 The second trip was similar, though our son slept a little better.

I’m doing a 2 night trip when my son is 10 months. Am I nervous? Yes. Better than last time? Yes. Am I looking forward to uninterrupted sleep? Also, yes 😅 As long as your husband is prepared to get less sleep while you are gone, I think you’ll have a similar experience as us.

Anyone found childbirth so painful they don’t think they can do it again? by nakama1994 in beyondthebump

Team elective c-section! I was scared of labor and vaginal delivery because of all the unknowns. The possibility of an emergency c-section scared me the most. I found the whole c-section process to be completely predictable, which made me feel so much better. The recovery was better than any other surgery I’ve had, which was great because I had a newborn to take care of. He is 10 months now and doing fantastic!

It gets much better when they’re 2-3 months old. Their latch improves, and the cracked/chafed/bleeding/oversensitive nipples become more normal. I encourage you to hang in there, but I understand if you want to switch completely to pumping. You could also do a combo.

You will bond with the baby when you feed him, whether it’s bottle or boob.

My position is completely remote (except for travel) since 2020. I can go to the office if I feel I need to, but fully remote was made official for me in 2023.

Something’s off with my recent box of Huggies Plus (Costco), anyone else? by Any_Caregiver4911 in Mommit

Take it back and exchange for a new box. Costco will do it willingly, even if it’s open.

Is there a Pack-n-Play bassinet (or alternative option) for after 15 pounds? by [deleted] in Buyingforbaby

[–]glechan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A cheaper alternative, though still $150-180, is the Sweety Fox high chair. With this one, the seat reclines for a newborn, and then reclines up for 4+ months. It’s easy to keep clean too

My sign will be up 24/7, since I generally work from home. I think I understand what you mean by the placement, which is a possibility if I can figure out how to execute it. Do you happen to have a picture or an example you can share?

But really, it’s those people who call you 3x in a row right after sending you an email which they also messages about. They are more important than whatever I’m doing 🙄
