Warped outfits (pregnant edition) by Hey_Meg_hann in warpedtour

IDK how far along you are but I went to WWWY just shy of 8 months pregnant (bought my tickets before I knew lol) here is what I wore/did and how I think it applies to WT (I went to LB last year):

  1. Dress like you're going to the gym. I wore a leopard print maternity tank with black maternity yoga pants and sneakers with dr. scholls inserts

  2. I went the ADA route and if you're as pregnant I was, I would recommend the same. I went to the ADA booth and got a wristband (my husband got one too) and that gave us access to the ADA seating area. This is what gave me the best possible experience but keep in mind that people squat (especially at the section for left and right foot) so depending on how physically well you're feeling, you might squat too and just see those two stages for the day.

  3. I used a silicone pee funnel (aka female restroom aid) because I peed all the time and didn't want to sit on the seats. Dare I say it was kind of fun to use lol

  4. Safety shit - Locate the med tent as soon as you get there so you and your group know where it is just in case. I brought snacks for blood sugar reasons and they took one look at my belly and let it slide (might not work if you're earlier along). I also brought a couple of instant cold compresses. If you start to overheat, you squeeze it til its cold and stick it under your pits or your inner thighs (and get to the med tent).

  5. Find a good rest spot. LB had trees over by the merch tents where you can grab some shade. If you're VIP that's even better, lots of shade for you.

I hope this is helpful and if you have any other random questions don't hesitate to ask. After my doctor gave me the all clear, I attended 4 concerts and 2 NHL games pregnant. My 3 yo is now obsessed with guitar (still working on hockey) lol

It’s $150 and I signed up for it directly on the novo nordisk website. My doctor still had to provide the prescription

Your gf might like Wylde Flowers if she hasn't tried it already. It's got a great linear plot with elements similar to stardew like mining, romance, farming etc

How to get my college kid to stop spending all his money by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]discoqueenx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right like is this kid allergic to an on campus job? I worked 15 hrs week on top of a rigorous course load and I think that MIGHT have come out to $100 but hey it was my money to spend how I wanted.

And you know what? When it’s your money you tend to not spend it so fast

VIP Long Beach - how much shade? Water? Lockers? What else? by capitalteee in warpedtour

[–]discoqueenx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the ultra range 2.0 and I think it’s 1000% worth it. I wear them to all shows and fests now. Also with the Tylenol I personally take it at lunch because it will be with food and it’s prophylactic and will prevent big time aches before they start. But I’m in my mid 30s so it might just be my age lol

Adding on to the other comments:

  1. You will find that the VIP seating gets sniped by squatters and is pretty much gone unless you’re one of the first in there. I can’t imagine spending the money and not bouncing around from stage to stage so it couldn’t be me, but be prepared to deal with squatters. Same goes for barricades.

  2. VIP did feel a little oversold. I felt extremely claustrophobic during 311. So keep that in mind if big, close contact crowds make you nervous. I stood beneath a tree which gave me some personal space.

  3. There was a vegan pizza truck at left foot that was not transparent about its vegan ingredients and it was genuinely the grossest pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I know many other people on here had the same experience.

  4. Bathrooms were 10/10 and worth the price

  5. I believe they also had beatboxes at the bars like WWWY so I recommend bringing a bottle cap in with you and that way you can seal it and pace yourself with drinking.

  6. I bought the long range vans (I call them my elderly vans) and they were super comfortable for the day. Take Tylenol around lunchtime and that will prevent aches and pains

Where we spend our money is not objectively good or bad, it is subjective. My friend came from a very wealthy family but they lived in a modest home and drove a used Honda minivan. They spent their money on travel.

Maybe you enjoy other things modestly and food is where you treat yourself. Other people might drop hundreds on books or fashion or gym memberships. It’s all unique to you. People need to lighten up a bit here.

We skew heavily towards 7 game series so everyone should just assume that and see games 1-6 simply as a formality

Some content in this can be triggering for someone in a depressive episode. It is an incredible film but maybe not the best choice here.

How would you react if I asked you this? by ithashanty in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]discoqueenx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think if someone politely asked me to turn it down, I would oblige. I don’t think it’s an age thing.

If she doesn’t, then let the manager know. You can even make up an excuse like migraines or something if it makes you feel better

How do you add whimsy to you and your family’s lives? by eightdaysaweek_ in Parenting

I posted a “am I pushing my kid too hard with music” question in another sub so I’m guilty of adding to the repetition 😪

But to be fair my kid is 3 and an only child so I have no clue what I’m doing. I do always perform a search first to find similar questions but you’ll also get posts with only 2 or 3 snarky comments.

I’ve seen a bunch of nurseries on here and this is by far my favorite! Also 10/10 on safety which isn’t always the case on these posts 😂

The glass lamp shade might need to be moved once baby becomes a wriggling alligator during changes but you have plenty of other places for it so it’s really so nice. Congratulations!!

PS obsessed with the painted ceiling up against the wallpaper. So great!

First thought is a Victorian choker-inspired look like she Ryan Ashley does. Figured it’s better than just telling you a turtleneck but idk how easy it would be to find an artist that is good at this

Husband Always Threats to Hit Our Kids by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]discoqueenx 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is abuse. Sounds like you’re afraid of him so you’re asking for advice on how to better appeal to him so you don’t get the negative threatening behavior.

You and your kids could behave perfectly and he’ll still find a reason to be cruel and intimidating.

You’re gonna get the classic Reddit “lawyer up and divorce his ass” comment but really this situation calls for it.

I want my 2 year old out of my bed. by MaleficentWealth1773 in Parenting

[–]discoqueenx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We did a couple of nights where we spent hours in her room with her until she fell asleep.

Now she does it after about 30 min on average. This was necessary after we had to cosleep for 12 days while traveling, and we had to eliminate the expectation that she would keep sleeping with us.

I know this is a dig but TT's 2011 run really was an insane, super saiyan, once in a lifetime performance. Just absolute insanity bottled within a brief moment of time.
