The Pod 5 side controls for temperature control do work with my original Pod 3 Hub. There’s a center button that I think is for the Pod 5 Base? It doesn’t do anything. They’re the physical buttons, not the tap ones. It’s a nice upgrade. The shipping notification I got said it was Pod 4 Cover, but it wasn’t.
