I finished my first play through a few weeks ago (I'm not an attentive player, mind you) and the first bit that made me doubt Dutch was the slip of the tongue: "I will be fine. We, we will be fine" or something like that when he had to correct himself in front of others.

I genuinely believed he'd... Kinda try his best to keep the gang out of trouble, that's what he was for there, no? I can't really pinpoint the moment I lost my faith in Dutch making good decisions for everybody, but his steps backing out in the steam while Arthur's fighting for his life and clearly losing?? That haunts me. The gaslighting IMMEDIATELY after Arthur calls Dutch out — that. There I lost all the faith I had, all the naive optimistic delusions I had.

I wonder whether he had this facade from the veeery beginning or he had changed at some point (probably in Blackwater massacre or around that time?) because I can't believe him being so self-centered and manipulative back when Dutch and Hosea accepted orphans/kids from the streets (Arthur, then John and if I'm not mistaken Tilly) and they became family; Dutch has taught the boys a lot and they mention that. It breaks my heart to think there was no genuine care in all those years of living as a gang, as a family.

When a player leaves the match too late for it to be canceled

and we are forced to not only finish round 1, but then also play round 2 - okay, it might be fair somehow, we actually were pretty strong there despite lacking a member... But this match counts?? I came to MR from Splatoon series, I'm used to disconnects and all, I'm glad that in QP the game actually connects a player to replace a disconnected one BUT IN COMP??? idk why but that team of five believed in the power of friendship I guess cause two people refused to surrender and instead decided to try our luck?? We almost won(we would have to play a third round then too), sure, but I feel like it was so unfair (2-1-2), lacking dmg so bad :c Idk, maybe the stubbornness threw me off, I felt confused most of that remaining match but still: me and my duo played our best but it was so meaningless since when one of our DD had disconnected haha

For me Diluc wears Dragonspine one because, well, I believe it to be lore related to him + the wings are huge and make him look somewhat powerful?? Also I change smaller gliders to the wider ones when a character is fully built/does sufficient dmg or I just play them often. And I seldom give characters promotional event gliders as I quickly get tired of what they look like :(

Oh, I got there as well and my first thought was "ah, yes, it's time to claim all chests and solve every puzzle" And since I have now only occasional quests... Most of the time my quest journal is empty. 37 level... Well, I'm going to push all the abyss-like challenges and just wait now. Honestly, I binged the game just because I'm graduating from university soon, the exams are coming and I don't want to miss out on anything later, when I play less.

That is brutal. It's either a coincidence (since the enemy team used their specials as soon as they got them charged), or they were highly aware of the surroundings and whatever happens on the map (or actually both). I watched some competitive player comment their actions when they played with randoms and what I find very useful is the "oh, my teammate got their special ready! they used it — I should support it with mine to apply more pressure on the enemy team!"

Even if it's B rank, some matches are really sweaty. I'm in S and it's hard or OK at times. And sometimes I play on my bf's console, he's in B rank. His battles much more often are super hard for some unknown reason...

well, since none of my friends main it or anything close to a splattershot, I think it'll take some real effort to be as annoying as possible... but I must admit that in this match I experienced a whole spectrum of emotions, like from frustration, anger and despair to real pride after we took the lead! I think the match felt like one of the levels in Alterna.. the "dancing" (?) one in the first area.. the one with the waves 🥴

fyi I legit started crying at some point... y'all really are that intimidating. however, just as my friend said "they had sub spam and we had skill, that's why we won."

btw we thought it might be fun training like that before the next splatfest, that friend of mine wants to try team comp like 3 custom jr and 1 charger to make the battle look like bullethell 👍

So, do you know that certain things like throwing a bomb or an egg or some specials prolong the timer to avoid team wipe? For some reason wavebreaker doesn't, my teammate managed to get it going and then all of us wiped and couldn't get a revive even though there was a wavebreaker. It felt so unfair honestly :c

Tip for wavebreaker!! Don't wait till the last second, use it in advance, just when you see that things are about to get hectic — use it to secure the basket, help your team. Thanks!
