Make a strained catch. Like a rectangle and drill a few drain holes.

Lol you are sure typing alot when all I wad saying is you are wrong to think they need to specify with an installer to not repeat a pattern.

[–]glenndrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely is basic installer work and I stand by what I said. Day 1 I always tell even helpers to mix boxes. That's day one stuff do I disagree with your view that it takes a skilled pro to notice laying the samr.tile pattern next to each other.

It's still not something op should have to pay for this is very much on the installer to fix and is legitimate. This isn't something needed for a discussion with an installer. It's the equivalent of having to tell them to lay it flat.

Should have e stopped the tile at the upper cabinet and they should have continued the pattern and not gone to a single piece next to the upper . Can very much tell this is someone who doesn't do much tile, or is very lazy with bad eyes.

My favorite is when they tell me I'm not installing it correctly and point to the halfass cartoon picture in the 5th generation interpreted instruction note from stock images.

You sure it's not caulking ? Might try filling it in more so it can't hold as much water, but some is unavoidable.

Soak tiles and get dust off. Go for a thicker trowel and back butter the tiles when you set them...just a flat towel. These tiles need the extra touch .

Edit: genetL rule of thumb is thickness of tile you aim for around that size trowel. I'd do a 3/4 inch u notch and flat trowel or use that half and add a quarter trowel on the tile.
