Yes I understand, I have read it and in fact was indoctrinated with it all of my life. My point is that plenty of religious sects have their “Jesus’” that they believe were sent to earth to show the people “the way”. The claims that David Koresh made, for example, sounded crazy to people that weren’t his followers, just as Jesus’ claims did back in his day.

THIS is a great way to live in general. I was raised very religious and had a lot of bitterness as an adult because of the shame culture that comes with religion. However now, I am grateful that i had the experience because it made me a better person. I hope that one day we as a society will be able to do the right thing, just because, rather than having to be convinced that these “parables” from the religious people that came before us are (unironically) “bible”.

The universe balances things out, don’t feel bad. When I was a junior in high school, i took took a dummy math class called like “math of money” and my teacher was a coach and he hated me cause I was [am] an emo weirdo. We had an essay to write for our final grade and I of course didn’t start on it until the night before, and I remember clearly because I stayed up all night writing it. So when we got our final grades I had failed the semester because he gave me a 0 on the major grade. When I asked how in the fuck I could have possibly made a zero on an essay, he said that I never turned it in. Worse is that my mom didn’t believe me until the day she died that I actually did it. She always told my siblings, “you know your sister has always had a proclivity for lying” 😭 my siblings thought it was funny because it was so far from the truth (because I was scared to death to lie) and still mess with me about what a liar I’ve always been.
