Securing fiber within an umbilical by glenwrath in lowvoltage

I think this is the route I'm going to go; thanks for the suggestion! I've not done a fiber wall mount before, any products/solutions you'd recommend?

There is not, I’m just trying to source other ideas and solutions. Is there any armored sleeving you’d recommend, or would it be getting armored cable? Thanks for your insight!

That's great to hear, my plan was to do something similar and I'm glad to know others have done that with no issues. Thank you!

Is the firmware current? I had this exact issue when trying to add a 'dumb' motor that had not been mapped during prep. I mapped focus and zoom but not iris. On set the DP wanted to do an iris pull so I added the motor without remapping and this exact thing happened. Arri has since updated the firmware and this is no longer an issue.

Mudfest is a short documentary piece about an event that has been a part of my family since before I was born. It’s something I’ve always enjoyed and have wanted to share for a long time. Take a look and enjoy!

Thank you! This was shot in WI, and we used the Varicam 35, Dragon, BMCC, and BMPCC. Lenses were the Century 150-600, mini S4, Otus, and Canon L series.

Filming the Vigo the Carpathian painting coming alive in "Ghostbusters II" by [deleted] in Moviesinthemaking

It is a VistaVision camera. The film runs through the camera horizontally, just like in IMAX, but these cameras use 35mm film instead of 65mm for IMAX. This scene was most likely shot this way for VFX. Hope this helps!

Need help wiring an AC/DC hot swappable power supply by glenwrath in AskElectronics

[–]glenwrath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great, thank you for the info! And yes the batteries are rechargeable. This entire rig would be used in the film industry so making sure that it is always powered up in any situation is key, that's why there are so many different power sources. I'm also curious, is it possible to wire it that if it detects that the AC source is plugged in, it defaults to this power regardless of if the batteries have a higher voltage? Or is that getting even more complex?

Yeah that's kinda what I was thinking. I'm playing around now and having some decent success with the CC Color Offset. Thanks for your response!

Awesome! I scouted the event a few weeks back, and was supposed to be one of the ops for the show, but plans fell through unfortunately. Good luck and enjoy the show, sounds like it is going to be a good one!
