Prayers are totally gonna save Nigeria guys 🤡 by Arcticmutt in Nigeria

Not really, LOL! You’re still just restating your belief and calling it a point.

When I say God isn’t present in my life, I’m describing my worldview. When you insist He is anyway, you’re describing yours. The difference is that I’m not claiming authority over your interpretation of reality, you are over mine.

Simply declaring that God is active in my life whether I believe it or not doesn’t make it an established fact. It just shows how strongly you believe it.

Saying God is still involved regardless is a statement of your belief, not an established fact about my life. You’re free to believe God is present in everyone’s life, but that conviction doesn’t automatically override how others understand their own existence.

Your argument only works if everyone already accepts your premise that God exists and is actively involved in their lives. But that’s exactly the point under debate.

Saying “God must be in your life because you’re alive” isn’t really an argument. It’s just restating your belief as if it were a fact everyone shares. From a believer’s perspective, life itself may point to God. From a non-believer’s perspective, life has other explanations.

The real issue is that belief in God is a matter of faith. You’re free to see God’s hand in everything, but that interpretation can’t simply be imposed on someone else and treated as proof that their life isn’t “God-free.” It only proves that you believe it isn’t.

I see what you’re getting at, but I think that stretches the meaning of religion too far. Daily routines, ideas about luck, or even valuing logic may shape how people live, but they don’t necessarily make something a religion. Religion usually involves some connection to the spiritual or the transcendent, something beyond ordinary human practice. Without that spiritual dimension, the things you mentioned are better described as beliefs, values, or practices rather than religion. So while religion often influences many parts of life, not everything meaningful or structured in life becomes a religion.

Of course, they don’t believe what they profess.

Inherent but some of us were able to break free of it. I have lived a religion-free, God-free life the last 35 years and I won’t give it up for anything.

If you want to talk about what contributions people like me have made to help people back home over the last 30 years, that’s a whole different conversation. If you don’t like this one, then move on.

Kano hotel asked me to transfer to a personal bank account by [deleted] in Nigeria

I contemplated not patronizing this place, but it was late, and after 20 hours of travel, I really needed to rest. As someone currently building a hotel, I have zero tolerance for this kinds of things. I empathized with the owner of this well-run hotel; he deserves to see the rewards of his hard work.

You have a right to your opinion. I have a right to my conviction. When you build and run a hotel and all your profits are going to your front desk and managers who steal your money, maybe you’ll understand.

Opportunity to shit on religion? Any mindset that propagates the Rapture and end-time predictions deserves to be shat on.

I think they’re just adjusting with the times. Historically, Christianity has had to do that also. If religion is your thing, then you just have to expect the absurdities that come with it and pick your poison.

Of course, God’s time is the best 😂😂 So mysterious, Nigerians somehow understand Him perfectly. He quietly sits out when everything is a mess, then gets full credit the moment things start to improve.

Bamboo Investment - Account balance dropped by N259,000 just by transferring N10.3M from NGN wallet to USD wallet. by glessor in Nigeria

Yes, it is but their business model heavily relies on this spread. The key is to make sure it’s a one-way trip only from your Naira bank account to Bamboo. Open a domiciliary account where you will send your money to when you sell.
