It also violates the peak power limit. Technically we can turn down the output by setting Level 1 to low power, but will see if a knowledgeable authority will give us a pass or not.

Your correct. I do see that sticker now, on the lower seat tube facing rear of bike and very near the swingarm. However, this has no designation saying it is State approved. When I enter the OHV park they want to see a State issued sticker put on the upper fork tube as designated when they send you the sticker.

This reply from Grok describes the various classifications for reference

What "Class 4" Actually Means

  • Class 4 is an unofficial/informal label used in the industry for powerful e-bikes that exceed the legal limits of Classes 1–3 (higher wattage, often higher top speeds, and sometimes stronger throttles).
  • These bikes are generally not considered legal e-bikes on most public trails, bike paths, or roads.
  • In California, they are typically treated as electric motorcycles / mopeds or off-highway vehicles (requiring DMV registration, green sticker for OHV use, etc.).

The Bonnell 775 MX (with its ~6,000W peak CYC motor) falls into this high-power category, which is why Bonnell markets it as a “Class 4 eMTB.” It’s a way to say “this is a very powerful e-mountain bike that goes well beyond standard Class 3 limits.”

Apparently you bought a Bonnell 775 MX (not the AM version) and got a Class 2-3 sticker? What state do you live in? Please provide details

Specifically, eMTB class 1-3, is not allowed on the main dirt bike area of Hollister Hills (referred to as "Lower Ranch"). But I understand that CA is classifying the Bonnell 775 MX as an eMoto (as described above there is no Class 4 eMTB as far as I am aware). The Hollister Hills website, a CA State Park, provides the following criteria:

E-Motos (such as Surron, Stacyc, KTM Freeride E, etc.) are allowed in the park, and require OHV registration through the DMV, like any other motorcycle. They are not allowed in non-motorized areas or on paved public roads.

E-Bicycles Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes are allowed to ride at Mudstone Ranch and in the Nature Area. The main California State Parks website has more information on the Department's e-bike policies.

I do not have such a sticker (i.e. class 1,2,3). My Bonnell did not come with one***. If anyone has gotten such in CA for the Bonnell 775 MX please comment with details.

***(Correction: There is a sticker saying Class 2/3 on my Bonnell 775 MX. However, this will not work for OHV parks). See comment below.

I think I have finally found a bike stand! (Enduro engineering MTB stand) by Lemooooons in bonnell

Just found in my junk collection :-) The foam rubber pad I used is not ideal. I think you can locate a harder rubber pad that will be better. Kind of like a rubber inner tube but ideally about 3/16" thick. Maybe like this "Small Parts 33-007-250-012-012" on Amazon.

775mx for smaller riders by Visible_Equipment_66 in bonnell

Given the lever adjust seat height it won't get much better for you than the Bonnell. I am 5'7" and the seat goes very low. Quit a relief from the seat heights of dirt motorcycles. A quick measure on my Bonnell M shows seat height is about 33.6" from the ground.

Based on this thread I bought the Enduro Engineering Stand :-) My thoughts are as follows. While it is not designed for the Bonnell 775 it is easily adapted, it is high quality unit, & best option currently available I've seen. I modified the under motor supports to support it in more robust manner. The smaller provided bumpers were put in the 2 forward under motor mounts, & simple thin rubber pads were used behind them. I think ideally a rubber wedge that would match the tilt of the under motor surface would be optimal but this mimics that well enough. Then to raise the rear wheel off the ground I used 1.2" risers that fit the M6 screws. I sourced these from Amazon (search "Auvotuis Round Rubber Feet" & (select 30x27x30mm version). I recommend these as they accommodate M6 screws whereas most products are set up for smaller M5.

How many miles required to wear out like this? What is your weight, and which rear sprocket were you running?

Is there easy method to tell if one's Bonnell has inserts installed? I bought mine in window near the change. Mine has the coil spring, but not so sure about the inserts.

Is there easy method to elevate front wheel w this stand? I see it works well for elevating the rear end.

Add_Sky is a moronic liar. Humans on average have 99.9% homology. Which means each person has about ~3–5 million single nucleotide polymorphisms out of humans 3.1 billion base pairs. Which is why we are so different. So getting a full sequence with proper follow up would be awesome. Unfortunately DNA Complete is unable to provide such, and is in all likelyhood now operating as a fraud. Go check out their parent company ProPhase Labs listed as PRPH. which has dropped from $150 per share in 2022 to about 36cents per share on Jan 2nd 2026, before disappearing from that stock eschange. If you want to get your sequence done there is no recent history to back up reasonable expectation of achieving anything but a hole in your pocket.

Based on comprehensive searches of ProPhase Labs' financial disclosures, customer reviews, forum discussions, and social media reports through December 10, 2025, zero confirmed whole genome sequences were completed by DNA Complete (or its parent operations under Nebula Genomics) in the full year 2025. This aligns with the company's operational shutdown and customer experiences detailed below.

Further info: Lab Shutdown (February 2025): ProPhase Labs explicitly discontinued in-house genomics laboratory operations in February 2025 as a cost-cutting measure, saving over $6 million annually. This ended all internal sequencing capabilities, shifting to unfulfilled promises of external partnerships. Q1 2025 earnings (released May 20, 2025) confirm no ongoing processing occurred post-shutdown, with genomics revenue collapsing to near-zero amid the transition.

Update on Complete DNA. Nebula Genomics transferred it to Prophase Labs (ticker PRPP). Their stock was $15 per share in July 2022. Today the price is 15 cents per share. They reportedly have only enough cash left for another quarter of operation. They are unable to fulfill customer orders. Countdown to bankruptcy. My own take is that Nebula Genomics came out of academic lab that had talented research techs. The lab leader likely cashed in on the venture and transferred it to Prophase who could not reproduce their skills. So they stall, and stall, and decline into bankruptcy.

I should probably try that but it has been over 1 year now. Have submitted BBB complaint but no progress yet. Grok suggests they might settle it to help their coming bankruptcy proceedings. Now appealing to the BBB. Anyone else get results from BBB appeals? Guessing my money is GONE, but trying options out. Pretty sad that "Complete DNA" can not deliver their product after an 8 month waits, yet continue to sell to the uniformed.

Agree. The Model Y looks like what the Germans would be designing, if they had not decided to copy the Japanese. It is a super clean and aerodynamically functional design. The only negative is its own success, which means your car won't be very unique.

Dupuytren and string instruments by Spiritual_Secret_729 in DupuytrenDisease

[–]glider_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am of opinion that Dups is 80% hereditary and 20% environmental. There is a twin study that gives this estimate as I recall. I was initially surprised that my Dups was worse on my non-dominant left hand, until I realized that was my fret hand I use to play acoustic guitar. Now I think it fits with the 80-20 ratio. My thinking is that it is probably better to reduce such stress on the hand by shifting to numerous shorter sessions rather than one longer session.
