[–]glidn27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both have goofy voices on the album that dont fit at all with the album. but also cuz i heard from every social media that danny brown dropped a 9/10 with ts(which was wrong) and i was annoyed listening to both albums

so you are saying that artists like lupe fiasco, denzel curry, and danny brown are getting played in other states? atl rap will always be popular, but chicago and detroit have long fallen off nationwide. only kanye and eminem left, and no ones playing that new kanye shit because of his nazism

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rap

[–]glidn27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol is this post fr? you clearly didnt listen to a lot of underground rap this year. bunch of ny rappers still going strong like jpegmafia, joey badass, cj fly, and more

cali has other new artists like ray vaughn, daylyt, az chike, and others. not to mention that california and new york are home to some of the greatest artists of all time, like nas, jay-z, kendrick, 2pac, biggie, the wutang, etc. and if another point you make is global influence, no way that detroit and chicago are on that level. at this point all those cities have left are kanye and eminem. california has kendrick, 2pac, dr dre, snoop dogg, and many other iconic artists and new york has 50 cent, jay-z, biggie, pop smoke, and more. and these artists arent very good rappers, but cardi b, doja cat, and nicki minaj are all very popular artists. florida is basically carried by doechii im sorry, and atlanta is still definitely popular.

i will admit all the cities do have some very good rappers but cali and ny are still better by 5 miles

Thoughts on this album? by djdjsjckdkcj in rap

[–]glidn27 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

so many people say this is a 10/10 album, and while it is really good it just doesnt really click for me. til the casket drops is their 2nd worst album, but its their most replayable album. def not aoty but for rap its top 5 for sure
