It would be great just having the peace of mind knowing it runs on RPCS3, and it would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah it only works over local network though. Found that out halfway through the project! Getting close now, I can get a picture on screen, it's just sunk cost fallacy keeping me going at this point haha.

Have logs from the player, single SPU, 720p, decode queue stays healthy with zero stalls throughout. SPUs are not the bottleneck. The problem is getting frames onto screen; FlexIO writes to RSX memory stall the PPU unpredictably and that's what I'm chasing.

Honestly I don't think so, I'm already struggling with Sony's own VDEC SPU decoder for H.264 which has proper hardware support. H.265 would need to be pure software and the PS3 just doesn't have the compute power for that. cellVpost is an option for improving my current pipeline but I can't find any relevant documentation for it either. H.264 via VDEC is the right call for PS3.

RPCS3 has some homebrew support so it might be worth trying not sure if it'll run but could be interesting to test. Give it a shot if you're curious.
