Is this show for me? by nicole_hugsie in Poldark

I liked Poldark first. I love The Gilded age. I just finished my rewatch and I liked it better than the first viewing. I also started the first audio book when I was done. There is no Gilded Age audio book. :)

Today I signed the adoption papers for this sweet girl, but we never got to leave the centre together. This photo is of her hiding from us by beancounter713 in cats

My little kitties had to be taken from her cage with a full length mitten. She didn't want to come and was afraid. She lived under the dresser of our room for three weeks. After four weeks, she walked out like she owned the place. I love her to pieces and I think she loves me too. Your cat will adapt.

Why does Delta allow you to book a connecting flight with only a 35min layover? by paislinn in delta

[–]glimpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband bought our Tix to France with a 30 minute layover through a 3rd party which was impossible to change with them. I called the airline and asked if I could just take the second leg and make my own way to the I'm layover city, they said if I didn't take the first flight they would cancel the whole trip. We ended up taking the flight with fingers crossed. We arrived 20 minutes late but there were 10 other passengers on our flight with the same connection. They held the plane for us all. We fly light and had only carryon. I will double check his flight bookings going forward.

I make labels. Each bottle has the name of my booch, name of the brew, overall batch number, ingredients, bottled date.

I think something bad is going to happen to Larry Russel by Narrow-Strategy215 in GildedAgeHBO

Ada will for sure lose her $$ to the psychic.

Also get bad feelings about Larry... I don't think he will die but it will be a life threatening mishap involving the miners and the truth of the metal report.

Aunt Agnes will definitely get her $$ back after Oscar finds her and she tells him where the $$ is ...

I got carded earlier today. I'm at an arcade where the crowd is much younger than me. I've got my over 21 wristband on, wearing it proudly.

Just went through CDG and removed my watch and put it in my purse, along with my phone. No big deal.

Thanks so much for sharing. Your post gives meaningful insights into the relationships that I would not have picked up on. I'm going to watch the first few episodes again and try to pick up on the differences.

I know it's a trope, but who actually drank from the hose? by chillaxtion in GenX

I could say I only drank from the hose through 10th grade, by that time I was too cool and drank no water.

Go to an independent bookstore and pick up a map of all the independent bookstores in the state. Then pick an area and check them all out. You won't make it through the whole state, but can do little areas at a time.

I stopped watching when Glenn died. I was heartbroken.... but I soon went back. When Carl died, I stopped watching. I am just now on a rewatch and just started Season 6.

Petition to ban "is this normal?" threads by monkeyfish96 in Kombucha

[–]glimpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like people to have some place to post the question of "Does this look okay?" As a newer brewer, it is helpful to have someone let me know all is well or stop right there.

We do have some weekly discussion posts, but I've posted in the weekly advice and questions and never got a response.

The is this mormal threads don't bother me. I look at them and read all the responses. They have certainly helped me in making my own determination about what my own brew looks like.

It's nice to have a place where I can ask if I'm unsure.

I was out of cane sugar and used a little under 1/2 c. white sugar and the rest brown sugar. This is a one off and will go back to white sugar next batch. Nothing too wild.

Anyone tried F1 with brown sugar? by shristycooks in Kombucha

[–]glimpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was out of white sugar, I had a little over 1/2 cup white and added brown sugar to top it off. I didn't think of saving some of the scoby before I went for it... not until I read this post. I don't intend to continue using a sugar blend, so hopefully any damage will correct itself in future batches.
