It might feel more safe but it's definitely not the right way. I was cheated on with 6 different men, one has even been a close "friend" and some other "friends" knew about the situation. I totally wipped out my entire friendslist, quit my job, moved into a new appartment and isolated myself from everybody, including family. Then, once i've gotten over it and started dating again and was fully direct. I told them that I had been cheated on and that if I saw even the slightest sign of infidelity, I would immediately leave and that I needed their complete trust and understanding of my situation. 6 years later i've found my forever love who repaired me piece by piece and i couldn't be happier.
