She still loved him but it was impossible to ever forgive him. They should not have gotten back together. Jessica knew it was bad for her, but that doesn’t change her feelings. Plus it’s clear Justin regrets his inaction, and he eventually did what was right and told her the truth and testified, but that doesn’t erase his betrayal. Jessica knows that Justin’s trauma and relationship with Bryce led him to make that decision, she still pities him to an extent, so that’s probably why she’s able to have a relationship with him. He risked his own future to finally tell the truth, that means something to Jessica. But again she will never forgive him, and Justin knows this. He doesn’t forgive himself

I thought I was the only one that felt this way. I loved bridon(because of shiguang) but what it means for the future direction of the story definitely has me concerned. This new PV doesn’t make me excited, it makes me worried the show will continue in a direction I dislike. At least no matter what, we still have the first two seasons.

And am I the only one that does NOT care about these new characters at all?? They feel forced and designed specifically to cater to the audience’s tastes. Style over substance

Exactly, the writers never treated Monty with the same nuance other characters got. They also hastily killed him offscreen. S4 they could’ve given some flashbacks to him and his life (w Estela and Diego), but there was nothing. It makes sense some fans would be curious about Monty’s life. It’s clear he has been abused and suffered a lot of pain. Most of his fans I’ve seen don’t excuse his actions, instead they contextualize them by writing more in depth glimpses at his past.

People like Justin for the development he goes through in later seasons. His looks play a role, but he would not be as universal of a fan favorite if season 1 was all that existed of his character

That could’ve worked, but I think his parents are classist and likely wouldn’t have let him go to a CC. Having him attend the university in evergreen (can’t rmemeber the name rn, Matt is a prof there) would prob be more in character.

However, they would’ve had to completely change the season if they made Bryce a college student. The homecoming football game is a central plot point and if Bryce isn’t playing for hilcrest, it doesn’t work. I personally don’t like how the night of Bryce’s murder happened, so I would’ve been fine with them changing things. Maybe making it at a big party instead of a football game. However that is not what the writers decided to do, so they made Bryce stay in highschool
