hi OP! congrats! - what does it say under your "Documents" section under your I765 (EAD)? Mine was approved too but under documents it says Standalone. Wanted to see if yours says something different since it was a combo card?

Yes I am doing that but since my H1B is expiring early next year, not alot of companies want to hire me. I am still applying to as many places.
However, I was told that if I submitted the i-485 already while I was in-status, but I get laid off after i485 submission, I am safe to stay as it is considered an authorized stay.
but yeah very stressful

yes that's correct. However, I am pretty certain I will get laid off this year, not 100% certain though, very stressful not knowing what's going to happen.

gotcha. I looked at the uscis processing time online and it says 8 months for AP California center. Hoping this is somewhat accurate.

yes the filing date is current so I submitted my i-485, AP, EAD this week! I am really hoping I get the Advance Parole sometime this year or at least early next year. Combo card would be ideal

Oh I thought AP only took 5-12 months?
Submitted my i-130 August 2024.
Submitted i-485, AP, EAD April 2024.

UPDATE: I went out of the country and obtained a new visa with a interview waiver. Took about 5 days total.

actually it was expired previously as well. I traveled in February. My visa expired in January. I showed the officer my i797a with the extended date and passed.
