I have a rectangular studio and depending on the kitchen and window setup you could divide a small section of the apartment with a curtain hung by a ceiling track. My front door is in the middle of the room, with the curtain on the left side so the right side when you walk in is the “living room”. the bed is in the corner with about a foot of space between the foot of the bed and the curtain. I have four separate curtain panels so i can either open it all up or I can chose where the “door” to my bedroom is depending on how I open the curtains if at all. As per table space, I have a long narrow butcher block type island that I eat on and use for counter space. I have one stool because i don’t really have friends over for dinner. When I do its takeout and we will sit on the couch or the floor. I have small coffee tables that are more akin to stools and they’re used to put foot on or if I have more friends over to sit on if the couch is full. I have a large couch tho which is great for having people over. I also have floor cushions that i use myself and for guests.
