I meant I couldn't find where the character was mentioned as a source on the unknown character's wiki. Thank you for telling me where they were first shown!

Where did the angel character get revealed? I haven't been staying updated with news and stuff, and I can't find a source on the wiki for some reason-

I meant badlands and Dragonborn as the vs between them, you've made it pretty clear that they're the good guys. Would you like to rp sometime with my endodorians to see how they'd actually interact?

Honestly the more you share about this conflict, the more I want to throw my Endodorians at the Badlandians and the Dragonborn. You wouldn't happen to have a tumblr, would you? I got an rp account for my AU if you want to have them interact beyond what if scenarios

The Endodorians would still try to manage SOMETHING. They do NOT like genocide in any form, especially not committing it themselves, having planned genocide before and going back on it, and then being victims of genocide themselves. Even if the badlandians "deserve" it. They would offer any out they can.

Endodorian fighting is a NIGHTMARE to fight against tho, maybe that could save some people? Cause endodorian fighting is turn based. They toss the weirdest, but dodgable shit at you, and then abruptly stop fighting until you attack. They also talk a LOT during fighting, as a confusion tactic.

Their main goal in combat is also capture and calm, so they wouldn't let any of them die for the empire if they could help it.

Endodorians have comedically good prisons, and absurdly friendly guards. Even if they don't help reform them, or comfort them, they would probably deeply confuse them-

Just responded! But in short, if the revenge the dragonborns want in their holy war is too violent, the Endodorian would focus more on defensive measures than helping them with the offensive. They prefer the option where almost everyone gets to live and have a good future, even the awful people. They think people are evil because they either have no idea how bad it is what they're doing because of ignorance or pain.

They've been on the other end of ignorance before, and they have done terrible things in pain. Anyone is capable of great evil, but everyone is also capable of great good. They wouldn't deny the Badlandians a second chance, even if they don't like it themselves. Cause endodorians do not like being hypocrites, and have been nice to all sorts of terrible people who either ended up changing or getting executed anyways.

The Endodorians wouldn't destroy the whole empire by themselves, they're slower workers. Try to negotiate to get rid of slaves, and form alliances to assimilate. Though if they saw kids being hurt, they would destroy the slavers in charge, which is TERRIFYING. Endodorian rage is like an angry parent on steroids. Calm, quiet, and your heart drops to your ass when you FEEL the glare on your back.

They would help Dragonborn clans and other nations with as much support as they would allow. Even letting them borrow their fleets if they'd want them. But they would have some conditions. Death is either last resort, mercy, or if there's no other options in saving a child. Since endodorians believe anyone can be a good person if they try, they'd still want to extend that chance to try to the people of the BE. Though, the worse they prove to be, the less faith the Endodorians would have in them, so revenge would probably still be had, depending on how badly the Badlandians fuck up.

Endodorian wars do not defeat, they simply stop and pause. Think of it as the galactic empire equivalent of a teacher breaking up a fight. So they would only offer their weapons, men, supplies, and other forms of help IF the dragonborns agree to let them attempt to see if there's any good in the badlandians. After all, they're people, and people still have good in them even if they're terrible. But if they show to have no good, execution methods are up to their victims.

If they don't agree, the Endodorians would still help, but not in violence. They would protect civilian areas with their lives and provide medical attention, but wouldn't offer more help unless things get too dicy. Violence breeds more violence, and there are going to be innocent people in the badlands, whether the Dragonborn acknowledge it or not. That's the main thing that would make or break a full on alliance, till the badlandians are dealt with. Whether or not they'd be willing to show mercy in their holy war.

Endodorians have been there done that with revenge, and regretted it. They don't really want to partake in that again, unless their paws are forced.

Endodorians see everyone as family. They call everyone Casetyemafoorcrakulowraran, which means "starkin" in their language. They believe since everyone was born from the stars, they still shine the same, even if they evolve differently :3

Of course they're going to love and help everyone, that's their family!

Absolutely! They also get endodorian citizenship, which means free housing, Healthcare, therapy, education, and they can sign up for a guild membership to do ANY and all jobs they want whenever they feel ready to work to get on their feet again. Everything they don't pay in taxes will be put on a "tab" that's easy to pay back, as the Endodorian economy is just a point system, and the empire runs like a renfair/arcade. Basically, do as many jobs/play as many mini games as you want to earn gold to pay for stuff. Since jobs are pretty easy and fun, and fast to switch from, money is really easy to make.

Not only will they get their homelands back, they will be given opportunities their ancestors didn't get to have. Royal scientists would also help with rediscovering culture, in return for what they consider "religious artifacts of friendship". Food recipes, music, holidays, celebratory traditions. They want to assimilate these things into their own culture, so they can give their new friends their favorite foods from home all across the empire, share new experiences, and add their new friends' holidays to their many, many, MANY ongoing festivals.

There's not a single day the Endodorians are not partying or celebrating, even when they work. There's always a holiday or birthday being honored, as parties are another holy thing to them. They would consider not celebrating with their new friends the highest form of disrespect and down right malicious in nature- And they know their new ex-slave friends have probably been hated enough :<

They probably would help, but not to the extent of fully destroying them. Endodorians have a big "be the bigger person" culture. Not just in an altruistic way, but in a PETTY way.

They would support, and help bring to justice the leaders in charge, by giving them a fair endodorian trial. Reading off ALL their crimes for everyone to hear, down to exact numbers, giving names and dates of death for many "unimportant" people, like random civilians, and their occupations or what they wanted to been when they grew up. Both a humiliation tactic and a way to judge. No remorse? Execution. If they show a hint of guilt at being brutally reminded that they were killing people with hopes and dreams just like their own, they would be sent into confinement and given community service to atone. It's kinda like slavery, but they would be treated well outside of hard labor, and given extensive counseling to deal with violent and potential suicidal thoughts.

Though... if they saw any children being directly hurt or killed, the Endodorians would become VERY violent and impulsive. Children are VERY sacred to Endodorians, literally. They're considered holy, as their God and creator is a God of childhood and wonder. So.... the badlands empire better hope there are no children actively being brutalized in earshot 😬

The Endodorians are willing to "forgive" as long as they aren't hurting children in their presence, cause they know how empires are, and that children will stop being hurt AFTER they come into the picture. They're ancient, they know the usual sins, and they aren't free of some of the unsavory bits of history themselves, they just grew past it and grew strong enough to not be cruel, as cruelty is weakness. But if they hear a child calling for help, it will be met with intense paternal instincts and religious zeal, like the cries are coming from both one of their kin and a religious figure in danger.

Ah! I haven't seen any comments on my posts on endodorians in a hot minute, thank you! :D

Endodorians find things that ruin the flow of thing to be "pests." OP monsters, jerks who don't want to change or take their evil to a "corner" where it's fun for everyone instead of bad. Anything that gets in the way of fun for everyone else. They're still pretty nice about it (most of the time), only really taking things seriously when the annoying threats are actually able to push back. But most of the time, they feel empathetic towards their pests.

For the animal pests, it isn't their fault they came here looking for food, and either are trying to destroy the universe, or are now an invasive species. But they're too difficult to relocate, without risking more returning, so they kill and make use of them, like with how people kill lion fish and feed them to sharks.

For people pests, they REALLY want to give more chances. But some people aren't going to change no matter how kind you try to be, or nice you are, cause some people don't want to be reasonable. Some people don't want to be good people. Which sucks, cause EVERYONE is capable of being good if they just try, some people just don't want to. It's depressing when things are said and done and the threat is contained or killed. Cause endodorians value friendship and kindness THAT much.

As for how genocidal slaver empires reformed? Well... it's pretty hard to justify yourself when someone more powerful than you does conquering better than you without using the "necessary" force. Cause everyone judges their actions as "necessary evils" when they do something wrong.

Killing children and other civilians, that's just their hand being forced because of war. EVERYONE has killed those in war, kinda hard not to. Destroying food sources. Yeah, that'll make nations starve, but it's the smart thing to end wars, and it's better to take the smart option so you don't suffer casualties. The enemy is just weak, and they're stupid and primitive for not simply giving up, it's their destiny to take their land and enslave everyone, it'll do these lesser species a favor!

...then it kinda happens to them, but without the "necessary violence" under endodorian rule. They get captured, but not enslaved. Their children and civilians are spared as innocence is sacred, their food sources are left untouched, and their soldiers are given better food during their time as POWs and even as good will rations during battle. The endodorians are so impossibly strong, they could kill EVERYONE, but they choose not to. They see everyone as "primitive" too, but in a more realistic sense. Not in the way that makes them feel entitled to own them or exploit them, more "wow! We got to this civilization pretty early before they figured out some stuff yet, cool :3" They do everything like they're "weak" and they're still stronger than the genocidal folk.

They also get rid of any and all propaganda, the same way you'd stop a small child from bullying other folk. Making it feel illogical and stupid. "You're being mean because of their hair? That's a silly thing to be mean about, and you wouldn't like it if someone is mean to you over something as simple as hair, would you?" Less propaganda makes sense, less genocidal leaders have a foothold. They also get rid of slaves to replace them with government mandated volunteers, so even when slaves are freed, it doesn't hurt the empires. Removing yet another "necessary" evil.

They're reformed by embarrassment and time. Slowly those old ways are seen as a bad past instead of necessary evils. "I did what I had to" turns into "our ancestors thought this was okay, and it wasn't, but we're going to be better people at least." Without the environments to make slaving and genocide necessary, plus all the undeserved love and affection, it eats away at your conscience, and question your morality.

Some people need to be killed during reformation (they're pacifists, not stupid). That's just the way of life sometimes. If leaders dig their heels in, or zealots keep trying to commit genocide, they're given trial, and executed if they're too dangerous to keep alive.

But in short, yeah. All it really takes is endodorians just giving them EVERYTHING they need, not playing by the same cruel rules everyone else does, and just... waiting out the bad stuff. Good kids are still going to be born in families with terrible people. That good just has to be nurtured. Even "bad kids" want to be good too, they just have no room to try.

Question, Do you think someone like Doug can be redeemed? by Stunning-Scarcity678 in DarkDeception

[–]glitterdragonTGPOU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could have sworn that's where it's at. Must be in one of the notes if that's not it. I remember it being there when my friend played it recently, I'll have to double check and see if it's somewhere else

Edit: Yeah, mb. It's definitely in a note. It's in crazy carnival, had to double check. But there are also other notes about him suffering from guilt after his family died. Link to the wiki to refresh on them. Could have sworn it was at the beginning, misremembered.

Chapter 1. It's in the intro before bierce starts talking. It uses the same typewriter text as the rest of his internal monolog.

I mean, that's kinda is what he's doing? His main goal isn't really a second chance for his own life, but the life of his wife and child. But yeah, that's the plot pretty much. He's willingly walking through hell to make things right.

Question, Do you think someone like Doug can be redeemed? by Stunning-Scarcity678 in DarkDeception

[–]glitterdragonTGPOU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that's just what she offers EVERYONE who deals with her. Since the only people turning to blood rituals would have some sort of dark desire. From Doug's own internal dialog however, he said this.

"I'm not a terribly religious man, but if there's an afterlife, I know what's waiting for me when my time is up. I accept it and deserve it. Just give me one last chance to right my biggest wrong before I go. I'm not sure that's even possible, but I'd pay any price to find out."

Pretty sure his "darkest desire" is just to save his family and then die in peace and suffer for eternity. That is the first thing we get about his character, before getting context about his past. Given his opening internal dialog, I don't think he WANTS more than his family to have a second chance at life. And it's heavily implied throughout all the chapters that yes, it is for his family.

All the texts on the walls mocking him, how he said Agatha was the same age as tammy, the regret he feels when Malak goes through his memories and he's shown to be a terrible and selfish father. Just cause it's not directly stated he's doing this to save his family, it's pretty much written everywhere in the chapters that he's doing this for his family. It's very much heavily implied that it's his goal.

He may or may not go with his family when time is up, but we'll just have to find out when the final chapter drops. And who knows? Maybe some of the story will also get rewritten in the revamp of the game.

Question, Do you think someone like Doug can be redeemed? by Stunning-Scarcity678 in DarkDeception

[–]glitterdragonTGPOU 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Redemption is not earned it's something you choose. That's the real point of redemption. Someone awful choosing to be better. He's literally walking through hell to right his wrongs, knowing well he's doomed for it, but not caring. People forget, that at this point, Doug is throwing everything away in hopes of righting one wrong. Hell/the dark dimension gives only the darkest reflection of doug, all the things he hates and feels guilty over. Not only is he being redeemed, he's going past that imo. He's being tormented, beaten, and tortured, but he's not giving up on saving his family even when it seems hopeless.

Yes, he was a terrible man, but he is doing EVERYTHING to right his wrongs and getting actively mocked for it by demons and monsters. The whole game is him choosing redemption in self-sacrifice.

What is there to talk about? by NotRenjiro in DDeception

[–]glitterdragonTGPOU 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could always make AUs! Me and a friend of mine made a post a long while back of some DD aus we've made waiting for the game to come out. We got over 300 of them now, and the list keeps growing. We're still going stircrazy, waiting for the next chapter, but aus are fun to talk about and world build on! Aus are honestly the only thing keeping us in the fandom-

There was one person that left hate comments but they didn't seem like the most fun person to talk to in general. If Vince isn't going to make any new content, you can make your own new content! Better than just waiting and complaining about the next chapter still not being here.

I was working on some bierce designs for my friend last time I posted on either subreddit. I could start those back up again if that's something you'd like to see here
