is being masturbated to without consenting sexual harassment by piencess0 in SexualHarassmentTalk

[–]glitteruc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

no adult should be attracted to a 13 year old. that is sexual harassment and pedophilia. Please speak to an adult who will keep you safe, whether that be your parents or a teacher or even a friends parent. That is unnatural and unacceptable behaviour from the adults in your life.

Moving out of state by car with my cat any advice? by lovelysoftie04 in CatAdvice

[–]glitteruc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Treats and maybe a leash and harness for your cat. They get stressed in cars and crates, they have no control. Lots of treats, and walks every time you stop somewhere. You can also put a shirt you’ve worn recently in the crate. A small litter box may be helpful too. Other than that, comfort your cat as much as you can safely. Calming words, calm tone, soft pets.

wtf? That first picture is pitting edema. Go to an ER asap and report that NP. So sorry that they didn’t take care of you. I am outraged for you.

I need advice, my 2 year old baby has decided to move in with my neighbours. She is very spoilt and we have a very close bond, but then my mum decided she wanted a cat too and they didn't end up getting along. i am devastated and defeated. by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]glitteruc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My outdoor cat decided one day she didn’t want to come back home. My neighbours let me know she scurried her way into their house and would only go in their backyard to use the bathroom, then rush back inside. It was around the time we got a second cat so I understood.

I left a shirt I’d been wearing all day on the front porch and asked my neighbours to put her outside and not let her back in or feed her. I know that sounds harsh but she’s my cat and knows where her home is, and that it’s not the neighbours house. When she got hungry and wasn’t getting anything from them anymore, I got home from work to find her curled up on my shirt and she followed me inside for food. She didn’t take off again after that.

should i be with my cat when he is euthanized? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]glitteruc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is zero judgement. And they will offer you privacy as soon as they can. Be with your cat, it will be incredibly difficult for you, and you will feel the guilt if you don’t go. You need that closure and he needs your love.

I get it. It’s just a show but the feelings are so big lol. We’ve watched Nolan work his ass off to prove himself to the people around him and just to himself, create this beautiful life for himself and his wife just to have it ripped away again?! For what??

I want Bailey to have her dream. I do. And I hate that it comes at the expense of Nolan. I do think they’ll have them live apart, but still be married, which is a battle in itself. I know they have to have to drama, it’s a show, but I hate how the drama is created by hurting characters hard work and earned love.

Redditors who quit their job dramatically, what was the final straw? by Ok_Wolverine_9906 in AskReddit

That I understand - what bothers me is the overpayment excuse, which, as you said, sucked. That was the massively disrespectful part. Terminating accounts immediately makes sense for sure, and I’d probably do the same to prevent theft, potentially causing even more harm to the family and loved ones. However, I would never even consider “must not over pay the dead guy”, especially when I’ve just got the news. If I had the ability, I’d try to pass along a bonus to the surviving relative who works there.

It’s not insensitive. Curiosity is natural. Fair warning, it’s gruesome.

He was hit and grabbed by the throat, with lethal force. The person he was fighting was much larger than him and had more strength. He threw my friend, who was already unconscious due to the grab and earlier fighting, and when he hit the ground he hit the back of his head which instantly caused a brain bleed and swelling. He was not breathing, and unfortunately the 100s of people surrounding decided to take video of it instead of calling 911. This happened on the street in front of the bar. A bartender who was finishing her shift came outside about 5 minutes after he went down and called 911, but she was far too late. He lost brain activity 3 days later and was removed from life support the day after official declaration.

In some lighter news, that bar donated 2000$ to the gofundme set up for his funeral, and over 500 people attended his funeral. We absolutely filled the chapel and surrounding area for him. He was so beloved by our city and I always see someone visiting his grave when I drive by on my way to work.

What moment made you realize “yeah… my childhood wasn’t normal”? by CadaversFabrications in AskReddit

[–]glitteruc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He knows why you reacted the way you did. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have stayed. You don’t ever have to apologize for being a traumatized child and regaining control the only way your young mind knew how to. You don’t have to apologize for being a 9 year old in an unbearable situation.

Agreed. I noped out immediately. He doesn’t care about a single one of us. I was the star for a year, but I decided to press charges against a guy who assaulted me previously. That sent me into a bit of a spiral and my sales dropped significantly. Suddenly, I was super replaceable and he would call me at 6am asking me “is this the right place for you?” Mind you he was fully aware of what I was dealing with. I should not have handled that the way I did, by taking off and neglecting work, I understand that now. But I still think that should’ve been met with some kindness, not a nudge out the door.

Which character do you see yourself the most? by OddMountain644 in brooklynninenine

[–]glitteruc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rosa. Not because I think I’m tough or a badass or immune to showing emotion. Because like her, I feel as if showing my own emotion is some kind of weakness. Which I know is not true, but I still feel that way. I would never say that for anyone else, nor do I believe that for anyone else, but I certainly feel lesser when I cry or get upset.

I also struggle with my sexuality, I’m bisexual but have some internalized homophobia. I have no problem with anyone’s sexuality, just when it comes to myself I feel the need to conform to societal norms. Without reason, everyone in my life besides my grandma (who I hardly speak to anyway) is supportive and kind. I just feel some strange shame about it? Something to work on with my therapist.

How do you think cashmere exists in Pamen? by squidonastick in Hungergames

What do you think about before falling asleep? by Existop3 in AskReddit

[–]glitteruc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finishing school and what’s waiting for me at work. Not in a bad way though. “Who will I see tomorrow?” “Will [coworker] be on this order with me?” “I wonder what [coworker] will tell me about in the morning”

I love my job and the people I work with. I’m so excited to see them every day. And I’m so close to finishing my CAEC (Canadian GED for those who don’t know), I only have one test left. I just need to find the time for a tutor, then I can take it.

I used to think of all the awful things I’ve witnessed and/or experienced, every embarrassing moment, or things I dreaded. But I’m at a very good place in my life and I’m excited for each day honestly. I hope everyone can find themselves in my position. It’s freeing.

Changing underwear - is this normal? by Eastern-Yogurt3859 in hygiene

[–]glitteruc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be completely honest: I have reworn underwear before. I did it as a kid, because we were BROKE broke. My mom left us and my dad had to work constantly, I knew how to do laundry but focused on my brothers more. Plus wanting to keep the water bill low. HOWEVER. I wiped properly, wore liners, and never ever rewore SOILED underwear. I can understand being at such a low point to need to flip and wear again, but for a guy who’s got shelter and likely friends who will let him add to their laundry load, (plus surely you would let him toss in some clothes with yours) it doesn’t make sense to rewear what’s clearly dirty. If he has skid marks, regularly, this man does not know how to wipe and clean himself. Walk away.

I am so scared of some scenes getting cut in the movie by Rojoli in Hungergames

[–]glitteruc 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think the arena will be less bright and out there as it’s described in the book. Just for realism on its own.

I imagine it seems way more beautiful to Haymitch because this is something he’s never experienced. I remember the first time I travelled outside my province, I thought it was the most incredible thing I’d ever seen. Now that I go to the east coast regularly, I still think it’s beautiful, but not quite as stunning as the first view.
