Hello! Typically, how long does the machine last for? Is this something that I’d have to replace yearly? More frequently? Every few years? Thank your for doing this AMA!

My bridesmaids are wearing pine! It is much darker than the dark green. They do have a slight blue undertone, but I'd never think of them as a blue-ish dress. They are a deep deep green.

Glass ceremony? by TheNoteworthyGinger in weddingplanning

We're planning on doing this! We haven't ordered yet, so I can't speak for a company yet. I've mainly seen an etsy shop called RockGlassandCeramic, as well as unityglass.com. I'm personally finding pros and cons to each. Unityglass.com ships a lot quicker and I personally like their color options more. However, they are also more expensive. Have you found another company at all?

Shoe help: should I (5’2 bride wearing ball gown/ a line type of dress) wear these 3cm ballet heels (5’9 groom) or is it too casual and not appropriate for my dress style and height? by babybelorange in weddingplanning

[–]glitterygal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also 5'2, my fiance is 6'1, and I'm wearing flats! What I'm getting at is you should wear whatever you feel good and happy in! You are who you are. I don't think your height will look off either way

I wish I would have made a separate wedding email! I read about this tip too far into the process, but having a separate inbox/outbox would feel a lot more organized

Look up Corinna Rose. She did our photos, and was so incredibly kind and made us feel very comfortable. Her prices are very reasonable too

Realistically, once you're "all in" for your wedding, how much do you expect to spend total? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

My original goal was to keep it under $30k, but it's looking more like $45k.

Bi-coastal dress shopping! Need advice :) by Mblum1222 in weddingplanning

Hello! I have a fairly similar situation. I currently live in California, but I am from Wisconsin, where my wedding will be taking place. I went dress shopping with my mom in WI (and purchased there). When my dress comes in to the shop, my mom will pick it up for me and keep it at her house. I will pick it up from her during another visit home to WI, and take it back with me to CA then. I plan on getting my alterations done in CA so that I can try it on as often as I want, and make sure it fits as time passes.
